Hello,

I have used EWBF miner since its inception, but recently Windows Defender identified the 0.32b version as having a Trojan:Win32 Skeeyah.A!bit. This seems strange because it is a miner, why wouldn't it detect it as crypto miner and a trojan instead?

Anwyway, just wondering..
All versions that I've ever had were downloaded from EWBF's google drive account.

Thanks,

antivirus programs almost always detects crypto coins related software as troyan/virus/malware, that's probably uncle sam idea of trying to scare people out of cryptos hehe.

create a exception for it and that's it, one of the reasons i don't use antivirus anymore, 99.9% of the time is pain in the ass with the false positives and doesn't block what it should.

hello this miner works great I was wondering 2 things

mining zclassic

it is very fast when starting the file but then it slows down a lot. If I close the miner and restart it is fast finding lots of shares then slows down is that normal?

how can I have the miner start when the computer turns on so if power goes off and computer restarts the miner will automatically start

thanks

Hey guys,
I got 5 rx 480s (and one 1070), 480's sweet spot is 1200 mhz base and 2250 mem clock (it doesn't go higher), they do around 300-300 sol/s per card.
Yet my 1070 does 460 sol/s, so I'm gonna make another rig with 1070's.

I'm looking for a maker which doesn't have warranty void shit if thermal paste is changed (msi has that for example),
so I ran into 1070 mini http://www.gigabyte.com/Graphics-Card/GV-N1070IXOC-8GD#kf
I can get it pretty cheap, my question is - does it perform as well as the "normal" 1070?
Does it overheat? I want to change the thermal paste cause some tests show -5 to -10 celsius and +100 on clock speed if good paste is used.

What do you guys think?

You can clic & drag the Startup folder to the Desktop and put your Bat. file in.
Quote
C:\Users\Mining\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

Bat. file

ping 127.0.0.1 > nul
goto :restart

You can try this one for an hour to make sure it works and then modify the tADDRESS.rig with yours....or not.  Tongue

Miners are detected as virus because they are included in some botnets.

All computers running Windows 10 are technically part of a legal botnet. Windows 10 inspects, analyzes and even deletes files it doesn't like: without your approval.  Updates you have to cripple the OS to stop, uploading all your files to their servers, scanning your network, it goes on and on.

Windows will soon push a new version called Windows 10 Cloud; which is the reemergence of their lockdown on general purpose computing. See this classic article by Cory Doctorow for a good read: http://boingboing.net/2012/01/10/lockdown.html

I mean, looking at the big picture, i mine on linux only, but my desktop pc and notebook are windows, and yes 7, for now, but it won't last forever.

I'm running this on Suprnova and mining randomly stops every 10s of minutes saying that GPU has been rejected. If I press enter on the cmd window the mining resumes again.

Currently I'm using autohotkey to press enter for me in the cmd window every once in a while. Are there any neater ways around this?

Sorry I'm new to cryptocurrencies.

Hello all,

I've been working on optimizing the miner for windows and linux.

Here's my most optimal current setup:

miner v0.3.3b
GTX 1070
Windows 7
90% TDP
+200 Core Clock
+700 Memory Clock
450 Sol/s

I'd prefer to mine in linux, and my initial setup attempt with ubuntu 16.10 - I've not been able to get overclocking to work right so it seems it is at stock - but at 100% TDP, it seems I'm only getting 420sol/s.

Has anyone been able to get better numbers with linux at all or should I stick with Windows 7? I've had a very frustrating time working with trying to get the overclock to work, doesn't seem to be functional via the GUI.

Maximum overclock for Zotac mini's (my electricity is free):
Zotac 1050 Mini 157-159 sol/s : core +165, mem +650, operates at 73 - 75C degrees; even core +168 goes quiet unstable, mem goes unstable after +700, and lay down at +750
Zotac 1060 Mini 289-297 sol/s: core +185, mem +750, 71 - 73C; core up to 205 but a little unstable, mem at 900 lays down.

Does it do the same on other pools?
Have you tried on Flypool?

EWBF,

I don't know whether or not you had a chance to read my previous post https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1707546.msg18454600#msg18454600 about the miner stops mining after a few minutes.
Any thoughts?

Miner are trying to restart the workers or not? And what pool do you use?

I had the same issue when I was testing different OC settings, when the OC is not stable I would get the same issue. I use Suprnova pool too! try changing the OC settings.

No error message on the screen. Miner won't attempt to restart the workers and reports 0 sol/s perpetually. It is Antpool. Pool sees 0 sol/s then places in inactive worker later.

Greetings,
I plan to stick one Zotac 1060 mini in socket 775 motherboard, but I stumbled on a user review on Newegg saying that his non-UEFI motherboard refuses to recognize the card.
I already have one MSI 1060 running nicely in another socket 775 motherboard, so I was wondering is this issue related to Zotac cards only?
Anybody has similar setup?
Thanks.
