Another logo has 5 variants of the outline, but I have 1 unsuccessful screenshot. Not good.

Ha, I understand the nostalgia!

Anyways, everyone, let's keep the argument at bay. There's no use to having an endless discussion about past events. I have posted the old and new logo above and I shall post them again at the end of this post.

Feel free to chip in and give your personal opinion on the logo's and list your preference. But please keep it nice Smiley

Well,
the rise of Mooncoin in May-June happened on which logo?
Blue Moon. Maybe not to change things that work, at least right now?

Another thing to keep in mind:
creating of professional logo requires special skills and experience.
Just like coding a wallet.
Democracy is good, but you will not let non-professionals code the wallet, right, even if everything is okay with collaboration?

Evangelo as a marketing director first had to make sure that all versions of logos were really made by PROFESSIONAL designers. Portfolio, experience etc.

It's a common mistake, sometimes top managers of companies make or judge logos by themselves,
but only a professional designer is able to judge these things.
For example, one very professional designer told me some years before that a circle line around a logo was one of common mistakes and usually indicated a non-professional logo,

we all (not designers) can just not see some things, which are evident for professionals and could make them laugh at our choice.

Agree, it was (and is) a general trend, but some coins didn't participate in it, or gained just a little.
You never know for sure what matters, even details can matter.

Like Ostsee said, it was the general hype that contributed. Along with tremendous marketing efforts from Zareeth and other community members. There's no way to measure the impact of a logo.

Yes, you do not let non-professionals code the wallet if they end up breaking it. If it works, it is good. I think it's a very bad stance to say "we do not want designs and input from the community unless they are coming from professionals". Hobbyists more than once create stuff that is better than a professional. Often, people just don't have the time, money or whatever to get a job in a specific field.

Of course, it might just as well be that sometimes a circle around a logo is a mistake. But definitely not always. In this case, I do not think it is a mistake at all. After all, we are talking about Mooncoin. The circle gives a good representation of an actual coin.

However, that doesn't matter as Larrimar is indeed a professional designer. Apparently, he has worked as a creative artist for a very long time and even designed the logo of the 2nd biggest airline in the Philipinnes: https://www.cebupacificair.com/.

If people doubt the results of the poll in the discord server, we can always do a revote on this bitcointalk thread.

I can only say that MOON is backed by common people all over the world, it's one of Mooncoin's most recognizable features.
However, sometimes better to listen to a talented professional in some field.
Also to think that you understand the market 100% (or even 90% of why it goes up, why it goes down) is a mistake.

Edit: https://alexa.com/siteinfo/mooncoin.com indicates that the largest number of people came to the Mooncoin website from coinmarketcap.com,
where people saw the logo only and a short description.
Agswinner mentioned the large group of Italian long term investors which are gathering their positions step-by-step,
Evangelo is running and paying for a marketing campaign at Facebook.
I'm sure that efforts of Discord group are also very important.

We cannot change logos too often.

A new logo can be improved, really great things don't need discussing. Also it's better to provide its concept/description, not image only.
Several people in this thread already posted that they wanted to stay with a current logo and see a new logo to be implemented for Moonlite, please take into account their opinion also.
