Where does this rumour about 20GB originate from? The MOON blockchain is less than 1.5 Gb, you can download the blockchain from the cloud and sync in several minutes. The link is available at the OP (original post).
Anyway if you don't want to use a desktop client, generate paper wallets, see walletgenerator.net for details, it's the safest way to keep MOON over long term.
A simple (but not 100% safe) way to keep some (not large) quantities of MOON is an online wallet (https://cointopay.com).

Thanks agswinner.

Well when i first opened the client it said that it would cost 20gb of data to download the blockchain and that this amount will increase over time. But that must be a typo or something then.

The logo you forced is just not ok. From any objective POV.
The blue moon logo was going to have much bigger impact when Mooncoin reach the asian markets than this UGLY THING.
I am strongly appealing to revert back the twitter and coinmarketcap to the previous logo.
No need of contest at all. At any point of time new logos can be proposed and accepted or rejected by the community.

Besides, the opportunity to have Unicode char which can be used as both ticker symbol and logo must not be easily overthrown.

Char    Dec            Hex                Name
☽   &# 9789   &# 263D       FIRST QUARTER MOON

Thank you,

☽
Nobody forced it, the only one with access is the dev.
You think this is an UGLY THING:

That is your opinion and you have every right to think that.

I think that blue crescent looks like absolute dog shit. Yes it has the benefit of being a Unicode char but it's absolutely horrid and I think it will scare away investors.

If I see this ugly thing without knowing what it is I will get exactly zero association with the Moon and with the cryptocurrencies. Not to mention the colors.
During the last price spike the Mooncoin was with the blue logo so no one was scared.
Actually, the golden logo was also in big-time circulation at the time. Also, you can't make any sensible claims how that period would have gone by with each one of the logo's. You simply can't.

Sadly, it's a bug in the Mac OSx Wallet. You cannot run the wallet if you have less than 20GB of free space. Even though it actually uses up just shy of 1.5GB.

Long time moon fan (mined first coins on the 25.1.2014; also bought few million moon on cryptsy and traded a bit - luckily transfered them to wallet before cryptsy went "kaboom"; and hold them till now), but first post here.

Now the only question is if it will go to 100 or to 200 satoshi by the end of the year. Cheesy

Hey everyone, I've spoken with several members, we will be trialing a new third party voting/survey platform for future competitions, projects, etc.,. I suggest checking them out, they also have a quiz maker for the new Moon students! Cheesy ; poll-maker.com, survey-maker.com, and quiz-maker.com

It's a good idea. If there is an independent and transparent website for polls, e.g. poll-maker.com (btw it doesn't require a registration to vote and to see results and they say they have a protection against fake votes),
probably both Bitcointalk and Discord people will agree with it and the community will not be divided.
Mooncoin is growing, obviously more forums will appear in the future, and we have to find a solution, one good and independent voting platform to accept votes from all members and to show results. In my opinion, https://poll-maker.com is a good solution.

I totally agree

I agree also!

...its that yesterday Tomorroman's skillful designs appeared in this thread and amazed many of us.

I suspect that it would be really tough to follow up with something better than that....

Still considering these Tomorrowman's logos as my favorites. I hope he will participate to the contest, wherever it will be. May the best one win. Smiley

MOON was one of the first coins I obtained when I first got started in cryptocurrencies, one of the few that are still around today.

It is hard to see how to push a project when there are over 1000 coins out there, mostly nonsense one...

The sale threshold is very high and you need to publish bittrex and poloniex vs Smiley

2-3 sell can wait 10 years

Too much competition out there for Mooncoin to succeed. For any coin to succeed there needs to be a re-think, there has to be a simple way to make 'your' coin stand out from the other 1000 out there

Well just my thoughts from the outside looking in, Many things can be important with any project. Perhaps the team behind a project? Mooncoin with a base market? long term development that lasts? people who work as hard as it appears they do on this thread? they have mooncoin.com  all these things might just really help any coin? Just my thoughts but what do I know??

Mooncoin would have an enormous surge in popularity at the moment if it included some type of masternode capability.

Mooncoin is not locked, it's still open for trade Smiley

The sale threshold is very high and you need to publish bittrex and poloniex vs Smiley

2-3 sell can wait 10 years
We had the same thing a month ago and easily broke through. Lot of the sell orders are placed by bots. Wouldn't worry about those orders too much.

Mooncoin would have an enormous surge in popularity at the moment if it included some type of masternode capability.
Agreed, not sure if it's possible though.

Hey guys, we've had a great conference call with Stokens. I'm going to put up a a few polls to get some votes on so we can see what we are doing. We really need a roadmap. I and a couple of other members will speak and work directly will deal with Stokens relations to help insure that we are covered and comply with the proposed self regulating body to prevent government intervention.
