Here's an interesting thought;

How was nico's crescent moon design voted in?

There is currently NO stake weight voting system in place, as he states would be the correct way of voting a new logo in... so how was it decided his logo would replace the original gold moon logo?

Eagerly awaiting a straight answer.

I wasn't obligated to do so or was I? Do you know why "I" donated? To reveal your level of compassion, do you care to know why I donated?

I did not make this site for money, we did not stipulate a fee. Then there were some donations, including yours. You did not have to pay, it's your voluntary choice. You got better what I did, you decided to support me, sending MOON. I appreciate it.

Now that the HTML5COIN problem seems to be solved soon I hope both of them, HTML5 and MOON will gain volume again on Bleutrade.

I didn't receive any notoriety as you did, but I'm not looking for handouts nor am I asking to receive any, my point in posting all of this is that Mooncoin along with all of cryptocurrency is bigger than "YOU" & "ME", it's bigger than all of "US". Instead of finding a way to complain, I seek solutions so that we may move forward, and I ask you Nico, and the rest of you that had something to say afterwards after previous notification, to please be "Proactive" in resolutions and not "Reactive" as it does nothing, but cause chaos. We are still growing as a decentralized community. Prove yourself with your activity among the community that makes Mooncoin, I'm active on all social networks that we have. I encourage you all to do the same, especially those of you who've been here before we took off, Barry is quite active with us on the discord because we don't have to wait for post to pop up. Evolution has never been easy for some people, but this isn't the time to be self-centered. @Mooncoin_Foundation, I encourage you to "PLEASE" joins us on the discord and other networks where you and other long term supporters may not be. As the community grows you'll never know who might be willing to step up to the plate for Mooncoin as they need your guidance. We have a scheduled conference phone call with an Investment Firm next Friday @ 1:00 p.m. and so far I have only confirmed 2 members, which are myself and 1 other, please contact me to let me know if you're interested or not in attending. I'm no longer going to comment on the matter, I hope we can continue forward together building this very "Unique" Mooncoin community.

For anyone worried about joining the above discord:

1. I will not just 'ban' or 'kick' you, and neither will the other admins.

2. The chat history of #moon_polls is fully open and available for anyone to read (albeit with some deleted messages likely). You can see what happened and how things progressed to the point where I needed to remove both vegasmoon (vegasguy for those that don't know him) and nico.

These two are free to come back in, I haven't even banned them, merely kicked them.

3. We're not some authoritarian brigade wanting to assume control over mooncoin. We want to use our combined expertise, creativity and motivation to help make mooncoin an amazing digital currency and altruistic innovation. If anyone wanted me or the admins to step down at any point I would do so via a poll and relinquish control to the next best person. Democracy.

I personally want to work on the history of mooncoin, help educate people on it's positive features, and remain out of this discussion over the logo from this point as there are too many people involved.

In my opinion, rather yes, 1 vote per 1 person, no matter how many MOON he owns (on the other hand, if it's an extremely low amount, a person really might not care too much about whether his decision affects MOON or not, it depends on the general responsibility of a person though, however an user with a lot of MOON anyway will be more careful in his decisions),
also an important question is how can we be sure that there are no fake accounts?
At least here I know old members, I know their accounts are not fake and they almost ALL (who posted) didn't support a new logo proposal for MOON.
It was a good initiative to organize the contest, and now we have a winning logo proposal, but may be it should be improved?
People will agree with a variant which is really great, if they don't support it now, something is wrong.

Of course, democracy is great, but in my opinion there should be also some respect from newcomers to people who had been supporting MOON for years,
and at least newcomers should take into account their opinion, these people saw things and never will recommend or support something bad for Mooncoin.

I agree with you here on the most part. However both nico and vegasmoon barely post. I can't find much of their history apart from a lot of involvement in other coins.

You and I know who really did a lot of the hard work for mooncoin, and I respect the way you are dealing with things, quite wise words. I will happily discuss with yourself, agswinner, coinflow about changes and positive ways to make them happen.

I will not deal with nico and vegasmoon due to their complete disinterest in interacting with the community much in the past (unless they identify old accounts that did play a part in mooncoin).

Is there a way forward from this you see possible? The discord community is very attached to the new logo and the ANN community is very attached to nico's logo. Can we theoretically use them both?

Also in regards to nico's childish insults and emoticons about people's work. Grow up. Discuss things like an adult, and don't stoop to ad hom. and strawman arguments.

Hey I'm not too involved in your guys' community but I gotta say... it's really fucking stupid to not use the moon as a symbol for your logo.

Why don't you just put the crescent moon onto a coin?

Vtw here,

I'm new to the forum, not new to crypto currencies. I'm normally not the type to jump in on things, but the last couple days here on this thread has changed that. In fact, I specifically made an account to post this message:

I'm not really into drama and things associated with it, I am far more interested rational discussions and humble attitudes. Some of what I've read here has made me quite sad, and in fact, I'm suprised at some of the maturity levels displayed here. I feel it's neccessary to remind everyone that behind every persona on this forum, there is a real person. I am not accusing any one person, just making a blanket statement. Continuing this though is the mission of this coin,  to be the people's currency. It's ties to the exploration of space bring images of freedom an exploration. Many have said that this coin has reached accross the globe and that it has touched so many lives. The coin also has big agendas to do so much more. I do wish that those who were hurt, or feel the need to assert themselves remember one important thing: that this is not about one person or a small group. It is about helping to make something great. Let's put aside our egos and move forward shall we? Perhaps, instead of pointing out who is wrong, and who is more wrong, we could move forward? Staying stagnant in one argument will undoubtedly stagnate the coin itself. Why not admit that there is wrong in several places , and work on a solution? Not a solution that points out the wrong in one party, but that benifits the community as a whole. Those working here will affect many lives down the road, and keeping that in mind should be the goal of everyone involved. So please, let's put this debate behind us, and act like the people we are supposed to be. After all, these words reach an entire globe, and a logo is holding back an amazing thing here. I believe in this coin, and I believe in it's amazing ability to join together so many.

Seriously?  A name change?? That would certainly put a massive nail in the coffin of this old and wonderful coin. (it makes me wonder of the ulterior motives of some)

I link this here for those who may have forgotten of what the Moon can do:

Just found this Monacoin (MONA) symbol (from the cryptochainer.com website)

https://cryptochainer.com/dir/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/monacoin-.jpg

Looks pretty similar to a new MOON symbol proposal (if it's with a double-slash).

https://i.imgur.com/TJmaXYX.png

And may I ask again, is there any concept for the new logo proposal?
E.g. what does it symbolize? A shield or what?

Mooncoin_Foundation,

I am an active alternative coin trader that happens to do graphic design projects occasionally. I noticed a few people in this thread were giving negative feedback saying that those do not correlate with the "Mooncoin" name. I decided to create a mock-up of my Mooncoin vision.

  • Are there awards for contributing these submissions?

Should I be submitting my proposal in another location?

Let me know your opinion of the designs, and I can perfect them before sending you the Photoshop documents.

If you want to help out doing design work for Mooncoin, feel free to join https://discord.gg/bCfmfQ

This thread is mainly used for announcements about the Mooncoin and small discussion. In the Discord there's active discussion on buiding towards a great Moon Ecosystem. There are not always rewards but sometimes funds can be requested from the Moon Community Fund.

Fair enough. Just figured that may give more traders an opportunity to join the community.
