I would guess it got on btce due to a bribe or operator of btce had a stash of it to sell. It will be taken down in the future.

Personally, if I were a moderator on these forums, I'd ban the fuck out of some moron posting hardcore porn links hidden under a coin.url.
So I guess I know who to ignore.
As for FTC. Seems people are too eager to bash people who are not here to defend themselves of at least reply.
And no wonder.

Seems like this retarget block size might be the death of feathercoin
network hashrate have dropped around 80% since hype and still going down... Given the current value of FTC vs LTC im only making around 0,25BTC with ftc vs 0.6BTC with ltc... with about 6000khash/s
Any words from the feathercoin dev or has he also abandoned his project !!! FTC need some serious life support as its about to die after 8 days...wow that must be a record ! He already said that he quit his job, he's probably vacationing somewhere or waiting for his gox withdrawal.. lol. is there any truth to that? OMG...i think this might have been a text book execution of PUMP & DUMP !! Its nice to have been part of the process and too see the clear lines of how to preform such an operation...so many times in life the theory is always clouded by shades of grey This well however was like a blow job....good start...then a frenzy and BOOM all over (her face lol..sorry it was there so i had to take it ) Oh well i though there might have been at least a good 6 months to balance the ltc diff curve..oh well back to the slave pits for me yep I always thought this coin required a fair stretch to jump on board and risk hard earned money ... but its best illustrated here: http://feathercoinor http://feathercoinor here http://feathercoin I hope everyone enjoyed their quick money and got out in time if not .. well learn some stretches and learn to enjoy the backwards pain of a clone coin crash cycloid, you are better then this. In my communications with you, I never got the impression you were this juvenile. As for the creator of Feathercoin, he was hardly creating a pump and dump. I get to know some of the coin developers quite well and I find it disturbing some of the judgements that are passed on without ever having spoke to said developers. bushstar was actually quite surprised by the popularity that Feathercoin gained so quickly. He was concerned about the responsibility of developing a coin that was gaining in value so quickly and was put on a major exchange. Now he is trying to build a strong support web site, and I am maintaining a feathercoin explorer on the site at no cost. This is part of the effort to make a all-in-one site for feathercoin. It seems every alt-coin is deemed a "pump-n-dump', however if one gets to know some of the developers, the answer is not as simple as all the nay-sayers claim here. I know what I say here will have little impact as the trolls have a much louder voice than I. Just remember that there are real people behind the development of these coins, and it is very easy for somebody to troll with no real knowledge or research. Instead of just blindly following the trolls, why not try to get to know a coins community, maybe even have a couple of words with the developers. You might be very surprised at what you learn. Ok fine so after 3 days of no comment of the fucked situation that FTC is in and no word from the devs...what else are we supposed to believe So what is the solution to the diff factor retarget issue or who cares wait 20 days until retarget ??

He already said that he quit his job, he's probably vacationing somewhere or waiting for his gox withdrawal.. That did make me laugh. I'm not on vacation and I'm trying to get my wife to go full time. That can be her contribution to Feathercoin Thanks for the support Dreamwatcher. I certainly understand where people are coming from especially since we have seen so many coins come out since Feathercoin. It seems to me that it was noted with the launch of Feathercoin, that there is a large market for new Scrypt coins. I was not aware of the demand myself, though this was something I desperately wanted. I expected to be lambasted and ostracised somewhat but left with a coin and a small group of people to work with like some of the other coins that came out before, this seemed like a worthy trade off to me. The take off of Feathercoin was overwhelming. It forced me to scale the project up rapidly on many fronts as things became serious. If people are going to invest into a coin then I believe there is a responsibility of the developer to do everything they can to make sure that the investment is kept safe. Back to business. I have posted over at the Feathercoin forum about the current high difficulty that people keep messaging my about. Also check out the new style for our forum, it is in line with the rest of the website. http://forum.feathercoin.com/index.php?topic=305.msg1769#msg1769

I think allowing it to spend the next month before re targeting will kill any value FTC has. An option is a hard fork like TRC did, cutting down the block retarget time to.. 1/2 or a 1/4th of current. That way the difficulty swings still shouldn't be as bad, but we won't spend a month waiting for 2016 blocks ever again.
I have another option: if you believe in FTC, keep mining it. We, miners, are the only ones who got the diff where it is now and we are the only ones who can get the network going again. If you have lots of FTC, you can hardly get them to an exchange, so you have to mine to get it in or out. I tried to get my FTC back from BTC-E to my wallet but they are stuck for hours now, 0 confirmations. I'm mining FTC, right now, with 2.7KHash/s, If we all join for 24 hours we are back at a normal diff. ( http://fc.altpool.com - I'm really there, mining!)

I do mine FTC still, but only have 1 card and live in a hot environment, so it gets turned off at night so I can sleep. @Bushstar I do like the 1/4th idea. Keeps everything in line, and won't allow people to rape the coins when the next difficulty comes and is low for another 2-3 days.

I guess FTC is dead already?!
Been trying for days to mine it on P2P and can't connect to any nodes. Now I tried Xfering what I had in my wallet to BTC-e and it's stuck in limbo...neither in my wallet nor in my BTC-e account since no one is mining to Xfer it.
Though I had hoped the best for it, it appears as though it was a scam coin after all. The devs did a lot of hard work getting the word out on it and then getting it on a few exchanges to give it some value and now it appears to be dead in the water!
Glad I only wasted 3 days mining it. Now if I could only unload the 500 I have on some fool...but alas...it's stuck in digital limbo.

At least you admitted to just guessing, I appreciate the question. Feel free to join us at the official forum and take a look at the projects/initiatives that are currently being pushed forward. I can't speak to the 'scam coin' assertion, it's too bro-coin for me personally. However, I can tell you quite a few of us are spending time on the coin. Thanks for the comment and hope you take a few minutes to peek around.

Come on people move forward. The coin is already dead.
Yes i mined it for few days and then sold it at exchange once the network hash rate dropped. and No i don't feel guilty because there was no innovation in FTC. Just a copycat.

Is Bushstar going to implement the 1/4th idea? Otherwise the blockchain might be dying.
