That page reads like some of the joke currencies the comedians round here have thought up.

Not that it matters, because it Helps Nature.

"Hub Culture members have already helped us put over 25,000 acres of Amazon rainforest under protection using Ven."

How is this flying under the radar? It's been used so much, they have protected 25k acres of rain-forest. Wow!

"Holding Ven increases the ability of the Central Ven Reserve to buy carbon assets backing the currency. "

That makes perfect sense  Huh Sadly, once more, the only thing this will accomplish is the lightening of the pockets of the misinformed and gullible.

Jorge Stolfi is a big supporter of Ven, it checks out according to his logic - that's how he gets paid for his FUD contributions to the Bitcoin community.

BTW where the hack is Adam ?  Banned again?

A few weeks ago, Adam told me that he had been locked out of this forum in about mid-September because a hacker took over his account.

Then in spite of my attempts to persuade him to get his account back, he said that he did not want to go through the efforts, at least that was his then thinking from a few weeks ago...

But you may know Adam.. he can be a bit spontaneous and even equivocal, from time to time...  Cheesy Cheesy.

At least it's something.
We are moving forward.
Maybe not that quick as a few have hoped or expected, but therefore properly.

And it looks like a Lightning Winter release is within reach!

0.13.1 will be release soon (1 to 2 weeks), that date is just one of the requirements that must be met before segwit activates.

RC1 will come out in a day or so oonce they go through the gitian process.

LN is coming around nicely where all the implementations have standardized Interoperability and Specifications for compatibility -

You know none of this is going to matter anytime soon with ViaBTC + Ver and friends blocking SegWit and potentially hard forking with BU...

If Antpool joins ViaBTC and starts mining BU then you can say goodbye to this potential rally

It all matters.  Progress made here and there, bargaining and leverage and wait and see, progress, no progress,, and in the end, the various actions in the middle matter to get to whatever point we are going to get to.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitcoin-price-at-a-crossroads-full-retrace-or-breakout-above-640

Finally, notice that we have a large OTE short zone just overhead between $660 – $710 so this is the region where we expect the next pause to take place if the bulls can push price over the $640 – $650 resistance area over the next few days. $680 – $700 seems like a reasonable upside target in case things do begin to move that way, while the triangle apex and primary volume profile PoC in the $580 – $600 area should act as a magnet if sellers begin to move in before price gets back above $640. I got this point

ViaBTC will be out-hashed and joining the Segwitt wagon later on, i'm not getting to worried about that. Ver and friends cannot block it, they only have there opinion.

The most common opinion about those anti Segwitt, LN guys are; ''Bitcoin going mainstream we need 2 mb block''

So from 7tps to 14tps...do they really think that's is enough?  Shocked

No no no no! We need something like 1gig blocks to accomplish that.

Sure, there are quite a few of us who would like to see some of the crazy ass (and sometimes quasi-delerious) posts of Adam in this thread, but the motivations for his behavior seems to defy logic sometimes too, including some of his recent alliances with big blocker nutty conspiracy theorists... hahahahaha...

Yes, better to have him come back and defend his "nutty" theories rather than attempts by me to insufficiently summarize them in my favor.   Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

I assume we can expect to see a fairly significant price increase when 0.13.1 is released. The same when LN is implemented.
