who else here started buying up btc once it dropped under 700?  Grin

Why wait until under $700?

On some USD/BTC exchanges the price rose until nearly $730 (maybe largely in the mid $720s).

I have random orders on exchanges to sell on the way up and buy on the way down, and my spread between buying and selling generally ranges between $10 and $20, so in this most recent upsurge adn correction, I had sales in the mid $720s and buy backs in the $7teens.
i don't don't what "$7teens" means, sry. i was just referring to right now when price dipped below 700 to form this flag we're getting. sold at like 720 and re-bought at like 697.

Maybe you should try to use your logic, if you have any to try to attempt to figure out what "$7teens" could possibly mean?   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

And, just because you are asking a specific question does not necessarily mean that people have to answer "yes" or "no" to your exact proposed scenario, since there is likely a whole hell-of-a-lot of variation concerning what people do (might do or might consider doing) in terms of their BTC buying/selling strategies, including people who may be following this thread.

Well, maybe if you graduate beyond 3rd grade, then you may be able to build sufficient enough reading comprehension skills and endurance to get above and beyond one sentence, maybe, just maybe?  But I have doubts, especially when it comes to you, Calme.   Tongue Tongue

Now that i think about it, there are really new people want to in. We are just so used to all the "fake good news", we can not fathom the possibility, that there are really a new wave of users/speculators. Two of my friends asked me this week how to buy btc, even though i was telling about it for alas 2 years by now. Weird. Is there some MSM article/policy change i've missed?

I know there was one MSM article translated here in my country which mentioned bitcoin as a "independent safe heaven asset", but still.
It's a time effect.  At first people think Bitcoin is interesting, but too weird to be for real.  Then after they forget about it for a while and they rediscover it, seeing that it is still thriving, they believe it just might stick around, and they want to get in on the action.
Time makes things go from too strange to be true to business as usual.

I'm not so sure. I just looked at the W1 and the Stochastic's are way up there. Fast one's almost crossing.

But who trades Bitcoin with the help of charts anyway?

Price is on the decline since the 715+$. For me, the end of the run is here, and will plundge back to 650$.

If the run should be over I call 680 being the bottom.
650 is way too pessimistic imo.
But I believe that we haven't finished this run. This now is a needed, minor correction. After that I can see us trying to finally break the 700+.

If bitcoin will go up to $800 then we could see a new all time high in my opinion. We have to cross and destroy the latest 2016 ATH to be ready for the moon take off.
A lot of new money is flowing into btc and this means only one thing, that the way is up.

If Bitcoin goes up to $800 it will probably continue going up to the 2013 ATH, but there might be a retrace off it back down before it goes any higher. Some predict it will surge straight through the 2013 ATH and continue to $2000 or $3000. Others predict it will go up in steps with retraces in between them, and I think that's what will happen.
