Little bump up to the $690's is a good start to the weekend  Cheesy

Yes that's what is was think as well.
Probably we are seeing some attempts to break the 700 barrier this weekend.
That would be really nice. I can already smell the 700 coming. Cheesy
And if it shouldn't happen the next 2 days, I'm sure it's going to happen next week. Now after 2 years, November again will be our month!!!!

you guys want bullish news? how about this. no joke.

this company:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swiss_Federal_Railways

a state owned company with 33k employees and around $8 billion turnover p.a. starts selling bitcoin in all of switzerland.

https://www.sbb.ch/en/station-services/services/further-services/bitcoin.html

here you have - out of the blue - the biggest seller of bitcoin worldwide. a federal railway company. 19th century tech my ass... Cheesy
This is good news! Will they compete with Localbitcoins in fee? I like it, but I would not use it if it is more expensive than buying online.

 [edited out]

spot on

one caveat: fundamentally we don't know what will be the catalyst exactly, but any sort of conclusion of the "scaling" debate will do. Might even be a - lo and behold - successfull hardfork to unlimited

That's nonsense.  There's not going to be any hardfork to unlimited or any kind of hard blocksize limit increase in the near future.

The blocksize limit scaling debate is going to go on and on and on, but at the moment, it is essentially addressed with seg wit and some other changes that are in bitcoin's immediate pipeline.  In other words, we are likely to get exponential increases in price without any kind of hard increase in the blocksize because that is just a largely fictional problem that folks are largely coming to realize as the fiction that it is.

The dollar has to be lower just in order to be realistic about its current worth.

Incorrect. The dollar will go to ATHs in 2017 or 2018, for the reason I told you (which comes from Armstrong).

It must go sky high to totally break the global economy into an abyss, which will then destroy the dollar and usher in the new global monetary reset with Asia leading the way coming out of their bottom 2020.

You've got to understand Armstrong's thesis about the $11 trillion dollar global short position and the international capital flows into the safe haven reserve currency as the crisis elevates into total chaos and war every where. Later the dollar will peak due to killing the global economy, and that is when you want to have gold.

For now, you want the dollar, US stocks, and Bitcoin. Later in 2017/18, you want to transition to gold.

It is still possible for gold to sell off to $850 as the dollar rally and US stock market rallies accelerate due to the rush to a safe haven. The world is not yet really to admit it is totally fucked and move to gold. That will come later. You will see a double in the US stock market over the next 2 years. Probably a triple or more in Bitcoin. Gold will go down.

The thread moderator ( @adamstgBit ) deleted a huge swath of discussion, some of which you can find else where.

Well, in four figures (not sure how deep in four figures yet, but somewhere under $10k for sure) I stop holding leveraged bitcoins and just start holding my own BTC. So, it's still just having BTC either way, and being relatively broke in fiat even if we hit $5k or more.  Smiley

I bought when it crashed to 160 and still buy.  Grin If they're in sub $1k category I lump them in same general price range. So, still listed in same price range as buy price. Nothing new.  Cool
