Notice how they're trying to paint a head-and-shoulders pattern on the tape, in a low volume/participation environment.

15125. Bought thy Fucking dip! Cheesy

Also, I kindly got that gekko open source trading bot running. Backtested against a few days in Sept. It has to download the data, so it was all I could.

Very interesting. Figuring out my preferred trading strategy is not going to be remotely easy... A lot of terms I've yet to understand like Stoch RSI and macd and such...

Wouldn't shock me. I'm away from home (work) right now so I can't really do my analytics from my phone. Not comfortably anyway. But hey, sell high buy low. I'm quite happy to sell this for break even or whatever and but back that much lower.

... Oh. You meant... Now. Heh. Whoops.

Good morning Bitcoinland.

I see we lost the bit we gained last night and we're right back where we were yesterday morning... currently $15247USD/$19307CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

Old coins are worth $18448USD/$23357CAD each (Coinmarketcap).

I suppose sideways is better than going down but this morning's dip feels contrived and artificial.

Obviously it will be temporary but it's annoying to me because I would have sold a very small amount of coin last night to take advantage of a boxing week special to buy a Win7 laptop for a friend. Unfortunately my local 24/7 ATM wasn't buying coins and all the other nearby ATMs were closed for the holiday.

Now I'll have to wait a day or two until I get some more cash revenues or Bitcoin prices rise sufficiently. There's no way I'm selling any coins at this price.

Too bad, she's coming into town tomorrow night and I wanted to have it set up to surprise her. I also wanted to get one for myself as a "throwaway" for international travel that I won't have to worry about falling into the wrong hands. I can save $600 by buying them this week.

Notice how they're trying to paint a head-and-shoulders pattern on the tape, in a low volume/participation environment.

Because of that little conversation I sold my 15125 buy at 14800 or so... 3 bucks lost. Here's hoping I catch the bigger dip... But seeing as we're back at 15100... Getting nervous.

Masterluc says we might retest the 10k or even 8k (see analysis thread) though he is not sure at this stage. I'd say its a 50/50

Dude.

I don't want to sound like an asshole, but just HODL, man.

Getting sad reading stories of your missteps with BTC Sad

+1, totally agree.

That's why no one should ever day trade this market. Too easy to be wrong and lose money.

Just buy and hodl. If it dips, don't sell just buy more.

I saw got filled and make her smile and my dyslexia kicked in and I was off on a totally different tangent...

OT

I have to say the market is always able to surprise me. I am seeing some nice consolidation at 15k support and volume is rising but I fear if we dont blow upwards thru 17k then we are sideways and down for a retest of 10k.  Pretty standard stuff...what I think is new and unusual is all the movement seems...cushioned...I dont know how else to describe it. Its does not have the same violence I have come to expect from btc.  More exchanges..less float..probably dozens of reasons...thats my take.  Just remember where we are...

Happy Cryptomas all.

Why is anyone suprised? I made the announcement that there would be a top at 16,000. Therefore it should be completely expected and there should be no discussion here. Just a bunch of blank pages.
