What just happened?? Drop by almost 4% in 15 minutes. Now that is some big manipulation. Nice and slow climbing for the last two days and then comes this dump and we will need another two days to recover from it.

I know none of you give 2 fucks about it. But i'm fucking done with trading. This market is totally irrational just like in 2015 and i'm done wasting money trading it. Not interested in looking at every fucking technical 24 hours a day. OH look some stupid line crossed the other line. PANIC DUMP!!!!! If you go full leverage on a panic buy or sell GOOD FOR YOU. But you don't deserve it at all and you didn't earn any of it. I've lost too much to these fucking greed driven animals of the bitcoin world. I'm done with trading. I don't even care about the money. It's just a parasitic influence in my life. Going back to HODLing.

The authors don't detail much experimental evidence about their new taint model (basically FIFO accounting for taint), but they do offer a couple of numbers which, if supported by more testing, would be quite impressive. At any rate, there's ample food for thought.

If the legislative landscape they hint at really comes into being, I don't know where I'd stand on the line between "hard" and "soft" approaches. Bitcoin enthusiasts? Investors? Law enforcement? All of these positions would entail both "good" and "bad" practical consequences from my self-interested point of view.

Nice piece of work. Computer scientists discussing legal implications with a practical, technically sound background. A rarity.

Merited. Wise words.  While catching up on this thread gradually you see how unwise and price prediction in any direction is, on any near/medium term time frame.

TA / price analysis is fun to see, but so much of it is as accurate as a stopped clock, as all we can do is to try to set up for whatever happens.  I was watching your 'short insurance' strategy, seemed to make sense - may I ask how it has panned out?  Or is it just too much work to keep on top of it?

What a joke.  Everything about bitcoin is completely arbitrary based on magic numbers with nothing objectively needed to be a certain way whatsoever.  They claim a designed to centralize, non-fungible scam token is better than precious metals.  So by their perverse logic, all you need to do is fork bitcoin into a new scamcoin fork #5001 and that new, completely arbitrary scamcoin will also be better than gold and silver!  Bitcoin scammers are so fucking stupid it's painful to watch.
