Have you been to Asia?
Yes? Came back from another visit to thailand just yesterday. Been to the flips too. What about it? There just is no continuous aging process when it comes to Asian women (at least the good looking ones). They eventually flip to "old" mode once they turn I don't know, 80 or something. When a female friend of mine who is half Swede and half Thai celebrated here 30 birthday here mom and dad was there too. The birthday girl looked 30 her dad, who is Swedish, also looked his age, but her mom looked like 25, I was amazed. And I have later noticed that some Asians seem to age very slowly up until quite a high age, at witch time they seem to age very rapidly and catches up with us Europeans. Makes you wonder why no mAd ScIeNtIsT has figured out how to delay our aging process yet by just copy/pasting the Asians. Easy. don't smoke, eat well, but sparingly. Westerners eat themselves to death. the rapid aging and degradation of health is supposed to be a wake up call, but instead is ignored and attacked with more pharmaceuticals.

Westerners are plagued with a number of heavy metals, pesticides, prescription drugs, and other toxins found in our air, medicine, dental restorations, and food. In addition, the food is stripped of much of its essential nutrients and in its place we are given synthetic vitamin forumations which dont work like the real thing and are actually harmful. Most doctors, in both the allopathic and "naturopathic" fields are working against us. Many pretend to have solutions but are just quacks. These factors make it quite hard to be as healthy as Asians, even if we try, plus we don't have Asian genetics.

Yep. We must take responsibility for ourselves (Weird, I know). Besides, if you want it done right...

So a few folks have asked to be kept up to date on the seasteading thing. I'll get into that and some of the reason why Youtube, Google and Facebook banned ICO ads. We (by "we" I mean Blue Frontiers mostly, I am just a volunteer and am not a paid employee I just help out because I like the project) started working on an ICO last July or August. Being a business of seasteading it was difficult to figure out how to legally raise funds. Being an actual company that will be selling physical products (seasteads) we could not create a utility token. All of the companies we talked to would do utility tokens but hardly any would do a security token (selling shares of the company). We had to talk to many different lawyers, the best in the US (in the crypto world). The uniqueness of a Singapore company with founders in several different countries building seasteads in French Polynesia and likely all over the world made everything very difficult with the lawyers and staying legal by selling shares of the company. There may be some things in the works but nothing that has been tested and vetted. I learned a lot about securities for those 6 months or so. Not only in the US but then we had to look at jurisdictions all over the world (since we would be selling to everyone in the world). The SEC came out with some guidance basically almost labeling all ICOs as securities. They even brought up the bounty programs that pay people to endorse or advertise their ICO. With a security there are all sorts of laws and rules when it comes to advertising which all of these people posting signature campaigns, bounty programs, etc. are violating those security laws. The same thing applies to Google, Youtube, Facebook advertising ICOs...they would need to evaluate each advertisement to make sure they're not violating those SEC laws. So they just decided to ban them all. One of the big things is that if you claim the token will be more valuable after it is first purchased, you are considered a security. Some company got hit by the SEC in December because one line somewhere online said that the token price might go up in the future. They had to pay back all of the money they raised. With all of this in mind Blue Frontiers decided to go with an actual currency to be used on the seasteads and be the only currency the company would accept for payment for anything on the seasteads (any private business on the seastead can accept whatever they want, but the company will only take the token as payment). So they will be limiting the amount and distributing a portion in the public ICO on May 15. The token name is Varyon (there were literally 2 other ICOs using the name Seacoin). The name Varyon is a play on the idea that there will be a varyation in governments on these seasteads. They will be starting their pre-sales this week with discounts of 5-15%. All of the nitty gritty is on their white paper. Being on the ground here in Tahiti...one small group in one of the cities we were considering wanted to use the project as an election time issue (oh no...the evil American billionaires want to come to our lagoon and dump toxic chemicals...and our mayor supports the project...he needs to go!). They aren't really in one of the preferred locations but we decided to tone things down locally until after the election (first election is next week and then the run off is mid-May).

I would like a place with nice weather where I may eventually retire. The whole ERTH thing started to get on my nerves. Too much crap all over. I would like to have an ability to be left pretty much alone with my immediate family, yet maintain some western style comforts. Too much to ask?

Also, he somehow managed to go from >100m to 4m during the financial crisis, which makes his calls... questionable.
His calls are total shit. Doge crashed ever since he made it his coin of the week on 8 Jan. Shorting his coin of the week will make you rich. Taking his advice will make you rekt. Such wisdommuch reward His account was hijacked. He says he doesn't do "Coins of the Week." Looking forward to "Gringo" on Netflix. Thanks for the heads-up. I wonder if he'll buy $4m in BTC to save his d!ck.

Too much to ask? key word "some" The difference between (no power at all) and (a few hours of lights and internet/day) is wayyyyy bigger than the difference between (a few hours of lights and internet/day) and (all the power you can possibly use) in lifestyle terms.

There are plenty of places in this world with a very low population that are quite nice. How much “alone” are you loooking for? This looks fairly decent for the price of a high end house in a major US city. Vanuatu is one of the nicer places in the South Pacific. https://www.privateislandsonline.com/south-pacific/vanuatu/lenur-islandIf you don’t want to spend that sort of money, a sailboat will get you a long way from anywhere.

There's still yet a few warm places that haven't been severely exploited. Tick-tock... start now! In other news from on the ground, I asked local gold shop (who's main business is currency exchange) if they'd accept BTC. She met me with a Maybe. Here it comes! One year ago they hadn't even heard of it.

It seems I'm going to lose in micgoosens $12k prediction game. But damnit I was close. Only missed it by some $4k. Bob Lawblaw still has a fair change of winning though.

It defeats the very foundation of the project as it creates just another territory with their own currency. A "legal tender" and the only way you can pay your taxes to local authorities. How is that different to every other country manipulating their domestic currency to "optimally" rob their own citizens?

Quiet today.
Downtrend line from peak is somewhere around $8800 on BFX.
We should break that in the next week with tax season behind us.
