For anyone interested in Roger Ver's "miner tax" hard fork fail today, it's currently not going well: https://cash.coin.dance/blocks/hashrate 1.36 EH/s (86%) vs 0.22 EH/s (14%). BCHA is currently trading at 0.05 (5%) of BCH and 39 blocks behind as only mined 3 blocks compared to BCHN's 42. Ouch. I think this will be remember as "The fork that nobody cared about"Wow... That thing shows it having NO hashrate at a point. I have to admit this is so encouraging. But what happens when all the miners go away? Lol. Oh lol, I didn't even notice registering 0 hash rate. Not surprising, the chain has only mined 7 blocks compared to BCHN's 129 Either way, BCHN took the BCH ticker by the looks of it. BCHA is the failed experiment of a miner tax (that wasn't even backed by miners!). Good to see. We should probably be talking about the new yearly high that Bitcoin just made though, seems more interesting

I hope he's right but I don't see this happening. IMO $70k-$100k max....
Yes price will go down fast and will then stay around $100k, but I simply dont see it go up to only $100000. That is very low for a hype we will see during next two years. This hype will bring such fear from missing out. People will get crazy, take loans to lost most of it in the dump. What’s the highest price in 2020 up to now? We are at $16453, I think it is close no? Maybe we break $16500 today?
Are you kidding? This is AYH! 16,500 Broken on stamp. (where else?) Yes as we see here times for over 16k Bitcoin are so rare that are measured in hours and not in days. So I checked how many hours we stayed above 16000?
Dec 2017: 257 hours Jan 2018: 56 hours Nov 2020: 60 hours

IMO the only questioin now is whether we will have a new ATH this week, or the next. The final countdown has begun: ATH-20%, -19%, -18%, ..., 0%!

IMO the only questioin now is whether we will have a new ATH this week, or the next. The final countdown has begun: 20%, 19%, 18%, ... Bitcoin will never make a new ATH again. We proved this years ago. What we're seeing now is just the erratic gyrations of a failing asset. Won't be much longer now before those playing this dangerous game are despondent as bitcoin resumes its multi-year downtrend. By the end of 2021 I don't think many people will care that much about bitcoin. What's even worse is that you've got people who sincerely believe bitcoin could see prices of $50k and even $100k, which we know for a certainty will never happen. Luckily there's still time for sensible people to exit this market and save themselves.

2030, the dollar as we know it will be re-baselined or replaced by the governments of the world with something else.
Dollar is definitely finished, it's only a matter of time. The only problem is no suitable replacement on the horizon: not yuan, definitely not ruble, not even gold. Well, except for bitcoin. Enormous wealth that's locked up in dollars will not disappear. It will flow somewhere. But where? If not into bitcoin, where?

Watched the movie just a few days ago (it's brilliant really) and couldn't help but think all the time that I am not long on BTC, I am actually short on fiat. Quite a change on perspective and feeling now a bit like the garage investor chaps in the movie to whom the above quote is addressed.

Poolin Launches Initiative To Activate Taproot, Encouraging Other Mining Pools To Join
Top 2 Bitcoin mining pool Poolin wants Taproot, and hopes other pools do too. Poolin, the Chinese mining pool that currently controls around 13 percent of all hash power on the Bitcoin network, is preparing for Taproot, the proposed protocol upgrade for which the code is included in the upcoming Bitcoin Core 0.21.0 release. Bitcoin’s second-largest mining pool (only topped by F2Pool, which controls around 17 percent of hash power) today launched a webpage to help inform mining pools on Taproot, and lets them indicate how they would prefer the backwards compatible upgrade to be activated.

Enormous wealth that's locked up in dollars will not disappear. It will flow somewhere. But where? If not into bitcoin, where? Yes, bitcoin is where some of the value will transfer. The governments will still want their dirty fiat though. They will inflate away all of the debt and blow up asset prices until a reset is required. By then, most other fiat currencies will be gone. If bitcoin is well respected by governments and politicians by then, it could form the backing of a new global dollar but I don't have that much faith in modern economists. I'll just hold bitcoin myself and trade it for the currency of the times when I need to buy something.
