It's not insider trading if it's filed according to the rules. Keeping it a secret and then sell on the insider news would have been insider trading.

Of course it is not insider trading as the sale was part of a selling program prearranged since a long time.
Those guys “don’t go to the bathroom without a plan” and for sure the move was authorised by a bunch of laser to make sure it didn’t break any rule.

The trick here is to make the announcement at the right time: just before the prearranged sale.

This a sorcery that can be done only by an handful top tier managers.
Just remember one of the best in this class, Sergio Marchionne who made 13 millions announcing an IPO the day before the expiry of his stock options:

Marchionne Gains $13 Million With Post-Ferrari Stock Sale

Quote

MILAN (Bloomberg) -- Fiat Chrysler Automobiles CEO Sergio Marchionne made about 10.7 million euros ($13.4 million) from a surge in the automaker's share price after he announced a plan to spin off Ferrari.

Marchionne exercised options for 6.25 million Fiat Chrysler shares on Oct. 30 and sold that amount of shares by Oct. 31. He did the same for an equal amount of stock in CNH Industrial NV, the truck and tractor maker that was previously part of the Fiat group.

<...>

Fiat Chrysler shares in Milan surged 13 percent on Oct. 29 after the company announced plans to sell 10 percent of the Ferrari super-car brand to investors and distribute the rest of its holding to its own shareholders.

He walked off insider trading accusation clean as a baby’s butt. In the article an esplicative picture of him addressing SEC officials “what do you want from me”?

Nullius, i went through your post several times, but i could not extract any sense out of it
I don't even know why you're highlighting the quote "ego death" and by no means refer to that in your answer in any logical way.
I think you may reveal to which concept of "ego" (psychological, religious or philosophical) you even refer to.

Then you mix up old quotes, with no contextual connection, just to reveal... (exactly, what?)

And this, my friend, is a perfect example of a "strong ego" (quoted JJG), in fact it seems even overpowered.
It's producing buildings full of theories that seek prove through itself. The psychologists call this projection, the yogi call it "the law of attraction".
You seemt to be perfectly being fooled by your brilliant, intelligent mind which forms the model of the religious ego.

Now, when i take the output of my "mind", it's not functioning different in any way, but i got AWARE of the process. I got aware through meditation and, most important, through my beforementioned ego death experience. It's the absence of all thought, judgement and identity. Only observing the peaceful, quiet nothing. Being aware that you are, but not who/what you are. If i'd be really believe in christianity, i'd call it the soul, i guess. But that's just a NAME for an IDEA.

What could be more atheistic than that?

Let that sink in, even just try to ignore your reactive thought chatter after reading this and try to answer in a contextual way.
You believe in your judgements, right? I accept that.
But how can you PROVE that what you think is REAL? (-EDIT- or: valid for everybody)
See, you can't, even if you try as hard AF.
Because it's only your individual reality.
To go on: You are believing your reality.

And we both have to agree that we don't believe that REALITY is created by some superpower, god, jehowa, allah or bender rodriguez, we definitely are both atheists.

So what's the fucking fuzz all about?

If everything i did was hurting you in your pride (aka. EGO), i feel sorry for that. So please forgive me (again, iirc)!
If you can't, i won't make it my problem, cause it's yours. Thanks  Grin

On topic: bitcoin is going over $100k, ...or it's not.

EDIT2: I see the corn over $16k again.

[rocket.gif]

I have to leave, spend the rest of the day trying to FEEL more than THINKING. Never did any harm to me.

Rick was sleeping.

"Hey, Rick ?", Bob asks, in a quiet, soothing voice.

Rick easily wakes. "What's up ?"

"Sixteen thousand dude !", Bob replies cheerfully.

"So what do you want to do ?", Rick mumbles.

"Don't know, Rick. Let's wait a few more hours until you're officially awake. G'nite again, honey"

"Ok, g'nite honey"

He ended up on my ignore list (with only two others) when it became apparent that he once struggled through a few chapters of an abridged Nietzsche volume (and still managed to misunderstand most of it) and now struggles vainly to persuade everyone else that he's a philosopher.

[Thanks OutOfMemory for snipping text before replying - it's always very mildly annoying to see an ignored poster quoted by someone else Cheesy]

More relevant though: 16k!

Bob is never going to sell at these prices. His sensible thoughts tell him to but his capitalist, ambitious thoughts tell him it’s too soon Wink

Ah ah hold your merits I haven't bought the car yet ! But I have put the money aside already. Roadsters/cabs are cheaper in the winter so I'll buy it in a couple of months. If possible in a bright color but they're rare unfortunately. Also, here is lockdown time (and in Germany too, where I will probably get it). Can't go further than 1Km from home or the closest supermarket...

Nice ride! But indeed that would be jinxing it: you can be pretty sure it will crash one day Wink

My fear would rather be "let's follow this dude home to see if we can get his BTC wallet"...

Should “Wordy Man” have been an awards category?

Eh, Jay can have the Golden Feather.  I myself will settle for being the absolutely most wordiest and unabashedly egoistic Antihero”.

Anyway, I like this better than a Golden Feather:  A Golden Apple cast before Venus Victrix, instead of pearls cast before swine. ;-)
