Good morning GENTLEMEN, not much to get excited about but finally a decent move in the right direction. The US still sleeping right now, do we have the potential for an attack on 650?
Sure hope so I was gonna dent a pump and dump 10 BTC to knock some real world equipment costs down to the bank and electric...whoo hoo pump ( I have no jinx'd you all ..prepare for the price to dump or go sideways) Sell walls have been demolished on bitstamp to buy last week about 5700BTC took the price to about $850 now to buy 5700BTC price goes to $1400 we need just one fatty whale.

The americans like to take profits. So it could also go the other direction again. We will see. At least we some movement again. It is really quiet and boring at the moment. Time for some chart action again if you ask me.

So far, only about 3.5 hours of increased volume...
Usually we need to witness a few days or even weeks of increased volume to conclude that there could be some kind of movement underfoot
Is a month good enough for you ? Also....if we look at the longer term pattern a more interesting picture emerges. Only a couple of things not perfect with this formation - the original retrace to the bottom of the 18 month "cup" was a good deal more than 1-2 thirds of the "initial advance". However, there were two spikes at the start of the pattern before support failed. If we take the start of the cup from the lower failed (4000 Yuan) level then the retrace is more commensurate with the textbook retrace. But we've have already broken through that level and the "real" breakthrough that matters I suspect is the 5100 Yuan level that collapsed in January 2014. As JayJuanGee says, the volume needs to start increasing on the way out of the handle for breakout to be ignited. There are some positive indications though. The 1-week MACD sell momentum is declining and the lower order charts are diverging to the upside. We've just had a good period of consolidation and there is a lot of fundamental growth in the sector about to start bearing fruit over the next year, including developments in the bitcoin blockchain itself. I'm quite bullish (But then I always am. Need to be right at some point). Hobular trading adopting hover mode while waiting on stamp & finex to catch up. Lets see what happens one they snap into fully arb'd valuations. Only 4$ in it. Traders not blinking. If it continues up, Zerohedge (now long BTC) will be standing by with its customary dose of salt to rub in the wounds of its gold bug readers. Update: Finex fully arb'd. Stamp does not want to play ball as usual. Has to get dragged out of bed reluctantly by the far East.

Tomorrow the SEC will approve ore disapprove Winklevoss ETF...
To avoid to much disappointment, i expect that the SEC are still not happy with the ETF framework. So the Winklevoss needs to spend more money and time to make it more satisfied.

Hopefully not disapprove... that will definitely cause a drop in price. Maybe some insider knows that it's gonna get approved and went balls deep in BTC yesterday? That would explain a spike with low volume. But most likely it'll be delayed again. Where's Jimbo?? The price finally moved!

the only thing the sec is consideing is the exchange rule change.
that's totally separate to approving the actual etf. that might be several years or never even if the rule change goes through.

The Winkle's seem to constantly meet problems trying to get their ETF approved, up & running. I expect they'll be disappointed once again tomorrow.

Good morning Bitcoinland. I see we've started to edge up at last. It's about time. $610 was getting boring after so many weeks. Today it's $635 according to Bitcoinaverage. Two bits ain't bad but it's still not a real breakthrough. Still, it's a step in the right direction. Where's Jimbo?? The price finally moved!
I've been distracted by post-season baseball. Between attending Jays games at Skydome, watching all the other games on the net, following the price of my extra tickets on Stubhub, celebrating victories and enduring the ensuing hangovers, I've barely had the time to check Bitcoin prices. Somehow I managed to wedge in a Thanksgiving dinner with family, and nights of gigging (and after-partying) the last several weekends. S&D&R&R. I saw last night's rise when I checked prices after the 5+ hour west coast game ended around 3:00AM. By then it was almost getting close to bedtime.

But the rule change basically opens the door for the ETF in such a way that they don't have to go through the several years long process. It essentially lets them piggyback on other structures by changing the rule to include cryptocurrency. Most likely it will not be approved tomorrow because they can extend it one more time. Government loves punting.

It will be extended for another last time don't worry! The final decision will be made in february or march next year. So don't expect anything big to happen tomorrow.Because it won't.
