True story:
My daughter knows that I'm in Bitcoin, and today she asked me if I know that bitcoin is crashing, she saw it somewhere online. I told her that I know, and without me explaining anything about it, she gathered half of her savings and asked me isn't it now good time to buy and can I help her do it?
Makes daddy proud. HODLer by nature.
What was your answer?

Seems like quite the coincidence that we hit the ATH around Dec 17th, which is around when the futures market took their first shorting contracts. The first of those contracts close today at 4 PM ET. Not sure how this sort of manipulation continues from here, but it seems obvious that a fair amount of the Dec pump came from traders looking to buy BTC in preparation to dump them and drop the price around - well - today.

Don't worry about 9k, worry about 8k )
I'm not technically "worried" about anything right now. Very curious, though. I know good 'ole Bitcorn with take root and shoot up again eventually. It is winter, after-all. Bitcorn doesn't grow well in the winter seasons. It's more of a spring chicken. BTCBTC clown purge = spook the n00bs :-D weeee

Wow went down to 9200
Look at the bright side, it is still over 9000!!!!Why jynx it? Also, funny how this meme is more relevant now than it was on the way up. $9000 just got evaporated in the bull run.

I’m eating a late lunch, sipping champagne & even I will admit this is fucking terrible. I won’t be able to retire for at least another two or three years at this rate.
Let me stress to all those panicking though - You haven’t lost anything if you don’t sell - 1 bitcoin is still 1 bitcoin. HODL & you will be greatly rewarded after the next halving.
Why HODL if you can sell and re-enter at a better price? is there a platform where u can do that without verification ? Ah, yeah if you're looking to have off the books stuff, then HODL is appropriate in that case. Though I would've probably considered selling some of the position. I've just been a little annoyed by the hype heavy HODL youtubers lately, who are obviously sweating this morning but still telling everyone to HODL instead of covering their butts and playing it safe.

Why HODL if you can sell and re-enter at a better price? is there a platform where u can do that without verification ? There are several decentralized exchanges around atm where you can do it without verification, volume is not to trade in the mils yet, though. Eth. which ones do you recommend? please

HODL makes sense for small corrections, but something like this - should have gotten out yesterday and look for a place to re-enter. There's plenty of room for margin of error.
What's the point of selling now like an headless chicken in panic? The time to sell was in the 19K, or at least at the first bounce in the 16K. You would sell now expecting how much further downside?

The strength of Bitcoin's market is not where it finds new high peaks, but where it finds a new bottom of support.

Goddamnit 30 hours have passed since I did a SEPA transfer to Kraken and it still isn't there =(
This afternoon I scraped together all remaining money I have and did another SEPA transfer, this time making it a high priority payment, costing € 5,-. It was there within 30 minutes. Apparently three confirmations is enough.

After reading CNBC today saying that "Tether was the only cryptocurrency that was resisting the crash" you can expect anything really. Eth.
