Open source projects are supposed to be volunteer. I guess that one is closed source. 

Many developers working on Bitcoin are paid.

Someone just put up a thousand bitcoin sell wall on stamp, then quickly pulled it. That might be a sign of a panicking bear's shit attempt at price suppression.

JUST look at 24.01.17 - the day that will change crypto. Now I know why price is same non stop. RATINGS coming to crypto !! The thing that has ten times more power than any futures.


5 star rating for bitcoin and lower stars for other = bitcoin goes few thousands up in matter of minutes.

Bitcoin get less than 5 starts = crypto world is gona dip dip dip = even if Xrp gets 5 stars (as a REALIST I see that coming - jews wants to control crypto market). People will buy XRP but BTC/ETH will drop - and everything is bought in BTC/ETH - so everything falls. Then in the ashes whales buy all XRP and GG


I REALLY HOPE there are to many jews that just want MONEY over POWER - and they will give 5 stars to BTC (easiest way to make money - they buy BTC - it moons = they make LOADS of MONEY)


What do you think about it - IMHO ratings are CRUCIAL - they destroyed whole US Market in 2008 - now they have power to destroy crypto -  WITH RATING 3 or lower = Bye Bye any investor in US

We know about it. The Weiss ratings were linked and discussed earlier. At this stage Wall Street types have a poor understanding of crypto.  So any ratings will need to be taken with a grain of salt.  

In particular, we don’t know how Weiss will deal with massive overhang of founders’ holdings like in XRP or how they will try to calculate concentration of ownership in XMR.  Or maybe they won’t take it into account, which would be a mistake in my books.

I know they have poor understanding - as most of investors but in US all investors look at scamy ratings.

Just look on 2008 - for years ratings gave 5 stars to crap - without them it would crash so much earlier

It's trivial to build an exact replica of Bitcoin.
But it's impossible to make that replica grow and achieve any traction without the creator being in control of it.
But having someone in control defeats the entire purpose.

So the only way that any altcoin can grow is if there is a team of full-time con artists working hard to code, mine and promote it. So every alt is under the full control of a team of scammers, which makes their entire use of Bitcoin's decentralized design laughably retarded.

There is nothing wrong with a centralized competitor to Bitcoin. But there is something laughably wrong, stupid, and utterly unworkable about centralized shitcoins adopting a highly inefficient decentralized structure purely to pretend to be Bitcoin 2.0.

You can build anything you want on a second layer of transactions, holding Bitcoins in reserve. This requires nothing from any other developers. Only reason people don't do it is that they want to make their own currency to scam noobs.

IMO certain altcoins have a place in this world unless and until bitcoin can fit every use case required. It's getting pretty close to being able to do with the inclusion of LN, rootstock and other 2nd layers/sidechains.

I foresee Monero thriving in any case. With it's opaque blockchain and fungibility, I see it as the only altcoin that Bitcoin can't completely displace.
