I really hope the America will slowly at least start getting that problem doesn't lie in either Muslims or bitcoin, it lies in the guns.

It's complicated to come up with a solution since the right of the people to keep and bear arms is part of the bill of rights of the US constitution. The only solution would be to have the 2nd amendment repealed which would require at least 38 states to ratify it. I don't see that as happening. My current understanding of how the 2nd amendment is interpreted by the courts is that we must allow the people to keep and bear the arms that would be the minimum necessary so that the people could reasonably form a well organized militia, if need be. I'm not certain how effective a well organized militia would be if all guns were banned. (I'm not sure it is even possible now with the restrictions we already have in place. A sniper with a semi-automatic is no match for a drone.)
I personally don't care for the 2nd amendment. However, the law is the law.

The 2nd amendment is the best solution which at least I can see. Sooner or later, America will have to go for it. It'd be better if it's sooner though.

Stamp spiked up to $11395. If it can get above $11400 before Monday the post weekend pump could push it above $11500.

The 2nd amendment rights are too popular. Especially in the rural states. There is absolutely no way that you will be able to get 2/3 of congress to first push it forward and then 3/4th of the states to ratify it. (There is an alternate route of getting 2/3 of the states to push it forward and then get 3/4 of the states to ratify it. I don't see that happening either.)
The only amendment that was ever repealed was Prohibition.

Really? 1-2% over the full stash is SOME significant money.

What other forks have you already claimed?

I have claimed BCH and BTG only. Forks I mean... airdrops like Byteball, Stellar and CLAMS I did too.

Bitcoin Diamond (BCD), BitcoinX (BCX) and Super Bitcoin (SBTC). You can sell BCD and SBTC at gate.io (no ID required for trade or withdrawal). BCX can only be sold at AEX.com now for BitCNY. Camku will sell the coins there for 5% fee as I believe they require ID.

You've really missed an opportunity with these forks as they were worth a lot more. You could have got 3-4% with BCX alone when deposits temporarily opened up at gate.io - made some bagholders that day Wink

Oh well, it's always hard to know what to do. I have most of my BTC on Ledger wallets, so my strategy was to wait until they supported those forks as they did with BCH and BTG or wait until most forks finished, then move all my BTC to another ledger and then use the previous seed to claim it all. Some months ago fees were expensive for moving too.

Also, one is never sure when those shitcoins are gonna pump later. Decisions decisions.

I guess it is just about time I move my BTC and start claiming everything... will decide later if sell immediately, wait, or a mix of both.

Retrospectively I do agree I could have done much better on this Sad

I've kind of lost track of which forks and which airdrops have happened.  Does anyone know of a definitive list of such?  I've only ever claimed B-Cash to-date (and sold it) but I suppose I ought to get onto it with the others.  Thanks

I don't care for the 16th amendment either. I do think that the repeal to that amendment would have a really good chance of getting ratified by 3/4th of the states.  Grin

You don’t need to repeal the second amendment, you just need the Supreme Court to refine the interpretation.  That’s why the nomination of Supreme Court judges is so heavily contested.

Timely conversation about claiming forks for me, as that was my weekend project this weekend. Most of the shitclones are a no-brainer to dump.

I'm considering holding onto Bitcoin Gold and waiting for a pump though. Any thoughts?

The court has been right leaning for quite sometime and hasn't overturned the Roe v Wade decision. You really think a left leaning Supreme court is going to significantly modify the Heller decision? I doubt it. Furthermore, I do not think it is possible to maintain a left leaning court from now until time eternal. So any reinterpretation of the 2nd amendment can just be modified later on down the road.

The powers that be are so desperate to have an excuse to ban guns they will manufacture shooting incidents to provide the excuse. Sandy Hook looked staged I haven't looked into the Florida one so won't judge that. If it wasn't staged I'd be surprised. We live in an age of universal deceit and ever tighter control of every aspect of our lives.

As for bitcoin, I'm waiting/hoping to see an Inverse Head and Shoulders break upwards.

As Americans become more educated and less religious, they become more progressive.  Just look at how Salt Lake City has changed over the past 30 years.  It’s all just a matter of time.  You can’t fight demographics.

The hard right is so desperate to believe they are not the bad guys that they actively engage in collective self delusion.  4Chan had “irrefutable proof” that the Florida shootings were a false flag operation in less than 24 hours. This is the same group of people that brought you PizzaGate, and many of them still believe PizzaGate is real and ongoing.

You can’t reason with these people.
