If anyone is still interested in redeeming any forks I found this site https://forkdrop.io/ to have all the information on the various forks and is concise.
I have pretty much redeeemed almost everything I can.

About how much is it all worth relative to the bitcoin needed to acquire it?

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Not sure what you mean by ‘relative to the bitcoin needed’? Since i am talking about forks which require no cost in BTC terms just some time to do the work.
I haven’t totalled it all up but it is easily worth about 15% of your holdings. BCH alone is 10%.

Powerful. I am going to try to always keep this perspective in mind.

Thanks. Yea 15% is what I was wondering.

Next time it goes superparabolic I want to be all in, not waiting to buy the dip.

Any sense what forks are worth if you have already sold your bcash lol and Bgold?

This is an interesting place. When things are doing good we all share and enjoy the same feeling of success and richness (even if in different levels) and the opposite (like right now) also holds true.  Quite different than IRL friends, most of them being complete nocoiners. #justarandomthought

We should have a WO meetup some time. Maybe we can have an IRL celebration when BTC hits $100K haha.

What, like in November?

Make it on Las Vegas during summer and I'm sold. Probably the only place in the world that could stand the assorted and extravagant bunch of us celebrating that awesome milestone in the most extreme and extravagant ways Smiley

Maybe we could even hire the Vodoo Lounge at the Rio (51st floor) just for our party.

Does anyone here have any experience of internet meets? I have a sneaking feeling they'd be fucking horrifying. And for some of the longstanding members there must be people with grudges against them out there, let alone blown opsec with wallet balances being linkable.

I'll send an actor. Or a cat.

I promise not to punch jbreher or any other bcashists in the face.
Nor will I be riding the mayor too hard.

No. No sense whatsoever. Anyway, ~2.3% is the answer, most of which is LBTC , which had or has probs with segwit addys https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2908497.msg32377748#msg32377748

Bitcoin Private (BTCP) maybe? Still valued at around $40 at Nanex.co & TradeSatoshi. Download Electrum client from from btcprivate.org and dump it up on Nanex or Tradesatoshi.

Zooming into that chart, it looks like the OP misread a zero on the y axis and should have been $65K at the lower end which I think is MUCH more likely by end of 2020.

We may all be introverted nerds but we are the razors edge of the future. And for better or worse were all here sharing this together.  I think it would be crazy fun.  Just watching some of you play craps would be worth it.

I'm in if the 100k party happens.

I'll pitch in .01 to .05 worth when that day comes.

It would make the damn news.

when we planned the btc1k party, price was around $120 and everyone thought it was nuts to already start getting prepared. well, it turned out that we were way too late, because just a few weeks later price went through the roof.

it made it to the Wall Street journal btw

BTC100k-WO-party. who wants to get this thing going? immortality awaits you! we should do an ITO for the tickets and get a budget of ... wow ... 10-100 mio dollars?!?!  shit, everyone attends using private jumbo jet.

Then normal service will be resumed. (Yes, yes, there will be another crypto winter, but not this year.)

If you are a merit source, then your merit page will come up like the below purple highlighted two paragraphs (though not really purple in real life) - noteably the difference in the second paragraph for merit sources:

>>>>>>>>You have received a total of XXXX merit. This is what determines your forum rank. You typically cannot lose this merit. You have XXX sendable merit (sMerit) which you can send to other people. There is no point in hoarding sMerit; keeping it yourself does not benefit you, and we reserve the right to decay unused sMerit in the future.

You are a merit source. The next XXX merit you spend will come from your source rather than your sMerit balance. Merit spent from your source will come back in 30 days. Unused source merit is wasted. It is not allowed for merit sources to sell their merit.
<<<<<<<<<<<<

As you may recall, the merit system activated on January 24, and therefore it was thought that if merit sources spent their smerits, then those smerits would start to replenish into the merit source on about February 23 - however, theymos stated that he had run into some glitch in the way that he had programmed the replenishment of merit source merits - in essence the script or the algorithm was screwed up.

It appears that theymos fixed that merit source replenishment glitch on about March 5, and replenishment of merit source smerits began again around March 5.

I didn't know about the glitch or any details of merit expiry, interesting stuff.

+1 WOsMerit

(I do have sMerit to give now, but you're a legend and a source, so it really feels like wasting the goods.)

After the merit system implemented, I did venture out there into the forum - outside of the WO thread, and it surely can be a scary place in which I bumped into a few things that maybe are not necessary to know regarding forum politics... - especially when it seems messy enough just to attempt to watch BTC price dynamics and the politics involved with BTC prices.. anyhow, there are a few things in the non-WO that I would not mind unseeing.

Surely personal discretion regarding how anyone spends their smerits, and merits are likely not only going to be used for ranking up since merits may end up displacing credibility aspects of the trust system in the future or establishing higher than Legendary ranks, perhaps?  Also, there can be some value with merits to identify relatively higher quality posts, too, perhaps?

better send some Smerit , running dry again  Shocked  Grin  Tongue

What name tag to wear?

Will we have to buy tickets on a per person or per username basis?

If we having changing booths round the walls, all four of us can attend. Then every hour the lights go out and we scramble into alt identities at the same time (in a kind of coinjoin manner).

Might need a whole weekend to get through everyone
