My gf is pretty angry at me regarding bitcoin to be honest. If I’d cashed out at the ATH I’d have become a millionaire. At the current prices with my HODLED stash, I’m not.

She keeps telling me ‘bitcoin is finished, it must be over, you should have cashed out, we’ll never get another chance like that’.

It’s times like this I look at different charts from the past that show % drops from ATH’s & then look at the subsequent recoveries & new ATH’s that makes me smile & know everything will be ok.

Look out for 6-12 months after the next halving, that’s when I believe we will be wealthy bulls Cheesy

Why didn't she take the chances you did and invested herself then?
She could do with it as she sees fit then.
Oh wait, let me guess, she didn't have the foresight to see its potential and didn't invest when she should have and is now telling you how you should spend your own money. Sounds like great financial advise to me /s.
When it reaches the next ATH dump her and find someone more appreciative.

Oh trust me, I never listen to her financial advice Grin Grin

A home is a capital depreciating asset. Bitcoin isn’t.

Not in my experience. My home and properties have only appreciated in value. Maybe you bought in the wrong location?

16 Bitcoin Price Predictions from "Industry Experts"

Quote
1.Gavriel Shaw, CMO at Bitcoin.com:

16 industry experts
9 month down trend
An asset that has historical multi year bear cycles
Not one bear
Heh

At least some of them were realistic.
I LOLed at the $150,000 BTC year end price. If BTC hits 6 figures this year, I'll blow everyone in this thread.

yeah yeah, we have all heard this shit before, I didn't even get my shot of single malt scotch out of the last such promise

Not to be a sexist dick, but the ladies should be kept unaware of crypto holdings. It allows easier thinking in times of trouble. If really, really necessary, one could sell what's needed and magically come up with the money when it's needed.

Chicks are good at spending money not managing it.

I respectfully disagree. A woman wort her salt is indeed able to save money, just like a man - maybe with different patterns and occasional "slips", but in the same ballpark if not even better.

Now I'm talking from a statistical point of view, so there are bound to be outliers, exceptions and everything, but in my experience the issue with the average woman is risk aversion. Women do have a long term perspective - and they'd better have a good one, since they are less "spendable" as time takes its toll - but they tend to be much more conservative than men. So I can't imagine the average woman buying at 200 and not selling at 1000.

Well we can have differing opinions. I don't think the average woman invests, period.

Did it, or did the measurement stick devalue?

Time to drop a truth bomb in here. Never tell any woman how much crypto you have. They do not love you, they love what you can do for them. If they think you have money, they will feel entitled to it.

Did you calculate in all the costs? Tax? If anything, it will rarely increase in value unless you know what you are doing and pick the right location. To me, a house is not a worthwhile investment unless you are looking at very long term. 20+ years then yes. Or if you are a pro and you resell them like hotcakes. But even then your returns will be nothing compared to crypto investments.

And when it comes to women, I would never trust one with my money. Mentally, they are like overgrown children.

It's your money and your Bitcoin yet shes "pretty angry". The fact that she says "we’ll never get another chance like that" pretty much tells me she does feel entitled to it and she feels that those realized losses are her losses. I would be looking for a new girlfriend.

We’ve been together 10 years (since our early 20’s)so it’s not like a new gf thing. I’m HODLING until mid 2021 regardless.

A home is a capital depreciating asset. Bitcoin isn’t.

BUT we do like to live in one  Grin

I get it, but what if we reverse it for an argument's sake.
Can you live IN bitcoin?
A trippy question harking back to "Being John Malkovich"

Can bitcoin be a "vessel"?
This would be clear only to those who watched the movie.
Eventually, at least younger of us would be digitized and reduced to being a digital "presence".
Maybe, then.

Yes. Spend a portion of a percentage of a small part to buy a mansion. Done and done.

Tell her your in it for the movement, not for the money.
You aren't here to get rich, but to make a difference.

She'll stop bothering you and might even respect you for it.
No. Kick her to the fucking curb mate. A relationship is built on trust, and she obviously doesn't trust you. The relationship is already over. Move on and do better.

Most women today are not worth anything. On the contrary, they are extremely costly. Consider the divorce laws and the fact that a thing like mgtow even exists.
