Unexpected item in the bagging area.

XRP is launching at http://Coinbase.com  and in the iOS and Android apps within the next 15 minutes. You may need to update your app to properly buy, sell or convert XRP. We will update when XRP is fully live.

Let's not discuss XRP/Ripple here - it's just a "distraction"!

Coinbase CEO tweet in 2015:

Ironic.
End of the day it's business LOL

Love how Brian A. "pivoted" back to peddling hundreds of shitcoins, ironic that it happened when Bitcoin LN was announced and launched.  Roll Eyes

I'm so freaking bored.

So bored, in fact, I'm thinking of dumping 10 BTC of additional liquidity into my LND node, and start opening some max-value channels...

... and then I think about "How in tarnation am I going to find the time to balance all them there channels I'm fixin' to establish ?"

And then I cry inside, and die a little bit more, at how excruciating it is to presently manage that.

My kingdom for better channel balancing abilities.

Right now, I'm basically all "hurr durr imma gonna raise the rates for one week, then imma gonna lower them for another week" across all channels.

It's all very stupid right now.

Or maybe it's just me.

It's probably me.

I have no idea what I'm doing half the time, and just winging it through life.

Mostly.

I think atomic multi-paths are going to cure what ails you.  Once those are in you should be able to balance your channels at the click of a button.

I actually built up two pretty large nodes with probably more channels each than necessary...  then I started getting paranoid.  I had a lot of max limit channels open and (for me) was gambling with quite a bit of corn.  With what a corrupt channel.db can do now I just didn't want to take such a risk... so I ended up closing all the channels. Wink  I wonder if one was to your node... lol. probably not.

I sure had lots of fun shuffling bitcoin around for basically nothing.  Then I got a lot of sats tied up in blue wallet (custodial).  I think that was what set off the paranoid cascade.

Bitcoin yearly lows.
2012: $4
2013: $65
2014: $200
2015: $185
2016: $365
2017: $780
2018: $3,200

Bitcoin volatility peaks.
2012: 10%
2013: 14%
2014: 12%
2015: 8%
2016: 5%
2017: 5%
2018: 7%

I guess a decade of sustained growth doesn't get the headline clicks. 🤷‍♂️

Facebook working on stable coin for WhatsApp

https://www.techmeme.com/190228/p18#a190228p18

NYT claims they have 50 person team working on the project

https://www.cnet.com/google-amp/news/50-person-facebook-team-plans-cryptocurrency-payment-tech-report-says/

and some day in the future they think about unpegging it...

zuckerberg can´t let the winklevoss guys win the grand crypto price.

also: facebook as a global bank must give some traditional banksters some nightmare.

Hello everyone,
As everyone here I am trying to understand what market will do in the future.

So I collected a few evidence here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5106432.msg49960305#msg49960305

No TA, only “fundamental analysis”, that, in my opinion, is a strongest driver for the long term.
Because it’s the long term I am interested the most.
