R.I.P. Confirmed. With sources.

So please, put your money where your mouth is
Wanna make a bet about Mtgox still alive and trading the next month ?

Just because it's still trading doesn't mean it's alive.

It's all just a silly misunderstanding. I imagine the next announcement will be something like:
"Mt. Gox has had slow processing of fiat and BTC in the past but we're happy to announce we're lifting any restrictions on your BTC and fiat deposits! You can now deposit to us any amount of BTC and cash from any currency in the world. In addition we also now accept traveler's checks, real estate titles/deeds, jewelry and precious metals. Send all you've got and get started trading right away on the world's best Bitcoin trading platform."

I've been wrong before, many times.

But if gox DOES allow with drawals,

yeah i know, lulz luzl lulz

I've given up on my funds on gox, but if the bitcoin price magically goes to 10,000$ on bitstamp tomorrow, I'll still be able to buy at least one ticket too the moon on the way.

I just don't see the upsdie at all in the near / medium term.

BTW: I have sell orders at 675 euros on Gox for my remaining BTC - just for lulz

No, I'm not. Got cheap coins (still have fiat left there).
You will regret it in a few days not sending fiat to GOX  Tongue

20k $ is peanuts.

You so clever!

Why so mean?
Bought the GoxBTC for 26% of RealBTC Value.
@ bitcoinbuilder you can sell them for 40% of RealBTC Value.

That's calculated risk management.

Either I get the coins out of GOX -> big WIN!
Or I'll sell them @ bitcoinbuilder

There's a flaw in your system: the moment you find out you can't get the coins out of Gox you won't be able to sell them anymore @ bitcoinbuilder. Tongue

If you google "bitstamp", the exchange site is no longer the first link returned. In fact, bitstamp home page is not even in the first three pages.  Before, it was the first result.  Any ideas why would google algorithms remove it from the first page?

Because you're trying with your little sister computer

WTF is going on with Bitstamp, my 2FA authentication doesn't work, can't log in  Sad

Check that your phone's time is in sync with your PC. There's a drift sometimes (and not just on Bitstamp). Try logging in 45 seconds after the number is issued, and not right away.

Yes, it's fixed. My smart time sync app stopped working

I've been wrong before, many times.

But if gox DOES allow with drawals, what do you think will happen to all these coins being picked up at 150 gox bux?

I think Bitstamp is going to experience a DELUGE of coins IMHO - instant 400-500$ profit? lmao it will be a question of who can get there first.

If they go under, how can bitstamp price go up.

Let see the logic:

-if Mtgox announces "no withdrawals yet", price on bitstamp goes down.
-if Mtgox announces "withdrawals now", price on bitstamp goes down.

Why the fck doesn't the price on bitstamp fall right now?

ok
sorry, i officially apologize. the tension got to me, i thought it was funny.   i thought it was pretty obvious i pulled that out of my arse.
with a gox price of 130ish i did not expect it to be scaring on top of it.

i did not intend to scare anyone.

I for one found your joke funny and not so private, if not a little obvious of a joke by now  Tongue

And I think you said in the past you lost some money in recent trades, so that strikes me as you being able to laugh even when you're a tad under.

japanese police is investigating mtgox. that´s why mk is talking strange stuff. they were forced to move out. japanese government will declare bitcoin illegal in japan. insiders know it, dump their coins for any price, since they know they get the dollars after investigation/dissolving of gox is over.

confirmed.

Bitcoin will be illegal in Japan... you really think this ?

can we have more pics of Mark K being smug, perferably overlayed with bitcoin graphs, dragons on blue balls, proudhon, bears, bulls, some sort of entertainment for those of us licking our MTGox wounds?

Let's all chill out, let them fix it. I think it is highly likely they'll have a better descriptor of what is going on tomorrow.

I do find it funny that the insider traders didn't dump just after the announcement maximum effect Cheesy

If MtGox announces "All your coin are belong to us you have no chance to withdraw make your time ha ha ha ha ha", price on bitstamp goes up, as goxheads scramble to replace their lost coins.
