People who are scared of Bitcoin regulation are dumbest souls on the planet.

It+s the most bullish thing ever to happen to Bitcoin.

True, although someone screaming for freedom (which bitcoin offers) is hurt by regulation quite a bit. But expecting no regulation at all is ridiculous.

Holy fuck people...
What's the word on Gox, no announcement?

I abandoned Gox about half a year ago, due to their constant bullshitting which I found untrustworthy, but with this price, I am actually starting to contemplate depositing some money over there, just in case they are functional after all...

Maybe it's just a trick to get some fiat wired to their bank accounts?

Did bitstamp ever support deposits through bitinstant?
Yes it did, you could use Bitinstant to arg between Gox and Stamp

That might be why some are having issues withdrawing bitcoins from Stamp. Gox was freezing accounts associated with bitinstant before the malleability shitstorm.

So maybe there's something to this. Law enforcement likes to fry the biggest fish. Peopl have been joking that maybe Mark is cooperating but that isn't how it works usually, right? They arrest someone first then force them to work with them so maybe Shrem flipped on Mark in some way because the US gov was after Gox's golden goose all along.

Do you people expect the GOX price to move more than 50% when the withdrawals are enabled? Ha. The other exchanges will fall by at least 300%

Could very well be.  It's not like I am ready to pull the trigger real soon either, just that at these possible profit levels, I am starting to think about it.

I'd like to suggest some calming music during these crazy Bitcoin times:

Elvis Costello - I Can't Stand Up For Falling Down

Tom Petty - Freefalling

Tom Waits - Down Down Down

Bitcoin cannot fall 300% unless you are leveraging. This is extremely basic algebra

Maybe, just maybe a group of high rollers with a ton of capital are paying off Mark to create a decent amount of FUD so much so that they are able to buy all the coins in mtgox at bargain basement prices. All this before the next big growth phase in bitcoin. Whales and banks getting cheap coins in order to take advantage of the growing popularity and utility of bitcoin.

Do you have any proof of sending 50k to mtgox? This is not speculation is throwing money off the window. You might win, but still it's stupid to do.

That's amazing. You're willing to risk all that money?
This isn't my only deposit to gox recently and may not be the last one either. I simply do not buy the idea that mtgox is insolvent. They have made far too many BTC since they came online in 2010. I don't feel like I'm taking much risk and if mtgox has lost 50% of their BTC I still win. Honestly, what are the odds mtgox has lost 50% of their bitcoin?

WHATTTT  Shocked
