The real capitulation is still ahead. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Fortunes will be lost, lives of many will be ruined. You are blinded by greed and live in a world of imagination. The downfall is imminent.

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

Well, today's exciting. Gox down to 120, Bitstamp finally flinched... but the traders on other exchanges are still VERY hesitant to follow Gox, as they should be.

Because they are still in DENIAL phase.
They will follow. Don't be the bagholder or you will miss the cheaper coins.

Bitcoin Withdrawal
You are not allowed to withdraw bitcoins at the moment.

Could there have been some major hack attempt involving a bunch of accounts that they have now temporarily frozen?

I have been getting emails last couple of days for the first time from 'support@btcguild.com', with subjects like 'You Lost 3.201 bitcoin', and there is a link to download something (which is obviously malware) in the email.

These emails only started a couple of days ago, and it is the email address I use for my Bitstamp account. I am not registered on BTC Guild.

I have received these as well.  Never been a member of BTC Guild either.

What i find amusing about all of this is that just a month ago people would literally kill to buy at "this" price.
Now that we are at "this" price people do not want to buy. No one has any clue where the bottom will be and everyone is afraid to make the first move.
This will end poorly until the we hit the price of what the whales want to buy at. They probably have firm targets in mind. And after seeing how low it can
go on mtgox they will allow it to hit 300 area before buying.

OMG it's crashed from $580 to 570 on coinmarketcap.com just in the last 10 minutes, sure doesn't look good. ~ $650 - the way it's been averaging the past week or so wasn't too bad for a calm before the rise again, but this looks disastrous.

In Euro there are double digits.
We will see single digits again.

Where are all these mentally retarded bulls screaming bye bye tripple digits (during this epic dead cat bounce to 1100$)?

If they were genuinely trying to fix problems, surely they would have halted trading days ago? They've done it a few times before. Gox is finished this time. Sad

Do you have any proof of sending 50k to mtgox? This is not speculation is throwing money off the window. You might win, but still it's stupid to do.
