And there we go. Panic.

there are very few times i trade, just sold my coins at stamp. news takes a couple of hours to be fully digested in btc world. sell now, buy back in a couple of hours and make 5-10%, i assume that's what most people are doing, i don't blame them.

Right now there´s plent of USD left on Bitstamp, so it´s not to late to sell, before it goes to Gox prices.

Would be interesting if all the major exchanges suddenly required verification for coin withdraws.

Bitstamp better don't pull a Gox and let everyone know what's going on asap or this will get real ugly.

Could there have been some major hack attempt involving a bunch of accounts that they have now temporarily frozen?

I told you days ago, that Gox will not shoot up to Stamp prices, it´s the other way round. Stamp will go down to the Gox area.
Maybe a bit above and they will meet@ around 220$
