Not that government officials still call that thing (the virus and the disease) "corona", they announce a healed survivor and several new cases as "good news". Additionally, the odd Influenza comparison always comes as a follow-up in every statement. They recommend to isolate infected children at home, in a separate room, keeping a distance of 1-2 meters, for 14 days. WTF

EDIT: Just listened to a radio interview with the minister of health, he said he will delay measurements to control the spreading of CoV, because it's too early. He also made a comparison to Italy, he said their authorities ordered closing of schools and to stay at home way too early.
You can't control spreading in hindsight, only prophylactic. In other words, he just waits for the virus to go away by itself. What a fucking moron! We must be the dumbest country neighbor of Italy...

The communist regimes social insurance plan doesn't cover everything, it looks to be about 50-70 percent of patients costs, but it does cover almost everyone. So most everyone does get free healthcare, but its not all free.

I prefer using generalizations instead of making everything a dissertation bc I dont have time for that, and nobody wants to read giant text walls of details, they are smart enough to get the point.

These sources appear to be in conflict as slightly more people live in urban areas than not. One of them seems incorrect and Im not flying to Wuhan to find out.  

Either way, I would still say that even if Wikipedia is the correct source, that free healthcare is available to all, bc everyone in an urban area is free to move out to the suburbs or country to get free healthcare.

Little fun fact on Chinese hospitals, they're fucking garbage.

I worked with some Chinese investors, one who owned two hospitals back in china, had a coworker visit and see them, he could not believe how shitty they were. Like weirdly shitty tiled dirty looking hotels almost. He said don't get fucking sick in china and if you do hope you can make it to the west.

I can’t easily find it on youtube but there is a video of hospital staff casually riding a smoking two stroke motorcycle down the hospital corridor to park it in their office.  

If you are an expat in China, you go to the expat hospital.  Which isn’t a hospital, it’s more like a clinic in Shanghai run by Western trained Chinese doctors.  But it’s all they got.  Heaven help you if you get sick in a rural area.  They will probably try to give you pangolin tea.
