Not even taking the symptoms like high fever into account. This is either fake or they are talking about air humidity and somehow (unreliably) relate this to climate temperature.
On a related note, a Dutch hospital ran an experiment: replace all stainless door handles and metal surfaces with copper or copper-plated metals. It worked really well but was not implemented further since regular good cleaning (which is never done well in practice) was expected to be cheaper.

Yeah. I almost forgot insurances mostly only cover the same risks you could probably cover from your own pocket and that when the real shit hits the fan you are on your own anyways. Bleh, enough rant... I didn't even had plans to travel this year... but after checking flight prices (like HALF than previous years) I have to recognise I was REALLY tempted. I guess I am getting old when I start putting more weight on risks/safety than saving costs.

It's not free. In this case it appears you don't see the cost.

Of course it is being paid in advance in order to be "free" when you need it but, there is something very wrong with the alternative system:

I don't believe in socialism, but in this particular case I have to acknowledge universal health care works way better overall.

Of course I find completely ridiculous that universal health care also covers foreigners (and even ilegal migrants) here whose respective nations don't reciprocate when we go there. That's completely stupid and plain wrong from an economical point of view (I will leave ethical concerns out of this) and it is well known there are many people exploiting this.

Same as housing, the debt and high costs are a distortion not a failure of capitalism itself.    I think its 90% of housing debt is now government backed, this actually makes more sense to me to provide health care for all.

Check how much of GDP is government in every country, if its anywhere near 50% it wont be a capitalist system that is operating.    Thats the danger of Bernie or Warren, they progress or succeed even with a false narrative.   Capitalism is mostly about most efficient process and competitive markets, thats not matching very well with massive amounts of government (over)spending.


BTC looks bullish on weekly bars which seems the most appropriate view on Saturday and Sunday.   Year average below, price above a descending trend for this year and also since July.  Cant really ignore that, 9750 would be first target to beat or measure its strength on, summer highs and tax year end high april 2018

I was thinking about my private medical insurance which is supposed to cover me worldwide... but, yeah, probably there are lots of exclusions that I never even bothered to read... But I have just checked that it seems that there is a maximum cover of 50000€ which, after knowing the completely ridiculous prices of medical services in US, it's almost a joke.

I have read about completely terrifying stories (invoices/receipts included) of medical expenses running on the several hundreds of thousands dollars for what would otherwise be considered minor/mild health issues... like stents surgery, back surgery... or a few tens for a very simple bone fracture... and that without considering a long stay in the hospital which cost is simply mindblowing.

This is how the insurance companies are stealing peoples houses now. Short stays after surgery (intentionally get inflated:Especially for older people unable to make decisions) start them on roads where they never go home. The amount of drugs they pump into them is amazing and they go home hooked.

The health care system is designed to take assets in this country.

BTW there are never any shared rooms available.

Another alternative would be to tear down the market distorting regulations that serve nothing but entrenched interests. That might work better, too. Plus, it would have the benefit of being a more moral system, as it would not be predicated upon coercion.
