You never showed or established that buying in bulk is better than DCA or that it is even possible without changing hypotheticals.
clearly bulk buying right now, would have been better then DCAing over the past year. (even the past 2 years) So you want to select a certain period of time in which you see some bitcoin price performance going down, and you want to try to assert that you would have known in advance that the buying opportunities are better now? yes, we can see that on the charts. Give me some kind of a hypothetical of perhaps someone who has $10k per year to invest, and is he going to sit on that $10k and then wait for a dip? What if we are starting now? Does he have $10k right now in his pocket? how is he going to invest it? Then how about the $800 per month that comes, what does he do with that cash flow? Buy every week as his pay check comes in or wait for dips? You can even give me a blind hypothetical from any period, but you would be cheating if you do not deal with real matters regarding when the buys should be made and what are the circumstances that justify the buys and how is that going to end up beating some more pure form of DCA. Give the strategy historically and then give the strategy starting from right now.. Describing after the fact what you should have done.. blah blah blah.. is easy peasy.. but no one knew the BTC price was going to drop to something like 36% below the 200-week moving average. Remember if you believe in BTC, then you need to attempt to prepare for both up and for down and without being unrealistic in terms of what are the cashflow circumstances of your hypothetical person.... and then how are you going to apply that in a kind of universal way, and within all of that do you expect to actually beat DCA? How about for normies? you expect normies to figure out if the BTC price is going up or going down or if we are in a bear market or a bullmarket?.. and then apply your formula for 4-10 years or longer and then see how it worked out. Didn't know this guy. Voice reminded me slightly of Zappa with a deeper voice.. Oh? Did he check with his attorneys first? It might not be the greatest strategic move, but who knows these days? We live in clown world, the last time I checked.

"be like JJG just DCA"
He doesn't have to do DCA until he does not understand what he is doing and what Bitcoin is. He should learn more about Bitcoin before he invests. Otherwise, he will blame his friend for even short-term loss. so he has to "not understand what he is doing" in order to do DCA. .... Just Believe in JJG and DCA what you can afford to lose. @ JJG you tell him. @ everyone else be like JJG just DCA. I got ten weeks in a row going for 11 next Friday. The more I DCA, the easier it is to do. Don't get me wrong here, please. I am not questioning the DCA and JJG. Since the guy is a newbie and he asked about Bitcoin, I suggest they learn more about Bitcoin before they invest. We know that bitcoin is volatile, and they should know about this. As I said before, If they don't know about Bitcoin. They will blame their friends even for the short-term loss. That was the point if you misunderstood.

Corrupt police. But what else can you expect from a country led by corrupt politicians? Unfortunately it seems the UK (used to be VERY LITTLE corruption here actually) and mainland Europe are only following in these footsteps. :-( All those bozos that caused untold damage with the unnecessary lockdowns only got rewarded and promoted for their sheer stupidity and often, I suspect, evil corruption. The exact financial moron in charge in the UK throwing money around during Covid got promoted to Prime Minister. Unbelievable. If anyone should be raided it's Joe Biden, Hunter Biden and SBF. Three of the biggest criminals in recent US history. We can probably extend that list further with rapist Bill Clinton, criminal Hilary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, Dr. Fauci and Maxine Waters.

All good things to those who wait

I must confess something. I stopped caring for BTC's price somewhere in 2022. Then I realized BTC won't change my life the way I hoped. The reasons are not related to the current low price. The problem is my country. There is no such thing as an early retirement. I have to wait until I am 65 years old if I want to get a pension. And this is 15 years away from now. So, I can't quit my job even if were a billionaire. I can't count on the value of my stash for my everyday expenses. The big money can be spent in a matter of days. Easy come, easy gone. So, I have to keep working, which is not so bad actually. I even work at a 2nd place 300km away and travel once per 2 weeks excluding winter and summer, when I am on vacation. So, what can Bitcoin give to me - just a better protection against the inflation and that I could buy anything essentioal for me and my family. This is good of course, but way too far from my dreams of travelling around the world and buying beachfront villas... I did everything I could - even being all in for the last bear cycle. So, for me this is kinda dissapointing. But I learned to be happy and live without watching the price every day, feeling bad for the crashes. I will continue DCAing if the price is under 20K but not above. I reached my stash goal which can allow me to live without any concerns. I think it is better this way than to harbour false hopes and live with fears.

I don't get it.... why would you need the pension, if you were "a billionaire" (or rich enough) ?

Constantly monitoring the price of bitcoin, reading articles or listening to news that tries to forecast the price, as well as doing all of these things can cause a lot of anxiety and tension. I try to concentrate my energies on expanding my knowledge of the bitcoin ecosystem because it is too much to bear. Because of how moving your narrative is, you'll simply have to wait another 15 years. Nevertheless, I like your plan because it will benefit you in the long run and will benefit both parties.

I don't get it.... why would you need the pension, if you were "a billionaire" (or rich enough) ? Because I can't trust myself. I can spend billions on yachts, etc. and live like a homeless. Or, my future wife can leave me and get all of it. There are way too many examples for that. And I don't want to finish in the gutter with no income and food on the table. The only possiblity for a self custody fund is the life insurance. But not completely, since I could withdraw everything anytime albeit with a loss.

Hmm lots to say about this post … but also lots of Meh… Everyone with even way less of billionaires status can retire at birth… If indeed current stash is there and the price would be high, lots of opportunities like buying worthy things in RL… With that and a stash of corn, retirement is a sure thing! Don’t know what your goal was… but when a stash is worth from double or more digit millions then opportunities are behind every corner. Also in the world of today even pensions can fall away ….
