Japan Launches Digital Yen Pilot Project After Second Successful Proof of ConceptThe Bank of Japan (BOJ) has completed the second phase of its central bank digital currency (CBDC) proof-of-concept (POC) experiment. The POC ran for a year and focused on implementing financial system stability safeguards investigating payment usability and experimenting with backend database language and ledger design. The POC was declared a success and the Bank of Japan has now started its CBDC pilot which will include further testing of the end-to-end process and collaboration with private companies. By 2026 the Japanese public will finally decide whether to issue a CBDC through discussions. |

You don't need to be so harsh, at least when it comes to the Philippines, which became famous some time ago for an island that has become very attractive for tourists who want to pay with Bitcoin. Furthermore, all those who advocate the thesis that Bitcoin is not a currency (nor should it be) are actually those who do not understand that this is the only way it will manage to survive. When you say some other coins, do you think there is something better (not to say safer) than Bitcoin in terms of payment? |

Remember the pumping of Overstock stock during the so-called "Crypto Revolution"? Remember the pumping of Peloton stock during the so-called "WFH and Exercise Revolution"? A nice attempt at a bull run over the weekend but couldn’t get us back to $30K. It does seem like the pressure building is on the buy side though. I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw another jump up this week. The market seems to have decided the bottom is in the rear view. With mtgox making more progress towards distribution, the hurdles are becoming few and further between.
