Just ROI'ed in a little over 3.5 weeks.   Grin
Noticed I was trailing PPS on litecoinpool vs actual blocks I was generating (3 blocks in 11 days).

Tried one machine on NiceHash and another on tbdice. Mined a solo block on tbdice in 2 days, so I moved the other from NiceHash to tbdice. This morning mined another solo block. 4 blocks from the same L3+ in 3.5 weeks. Hopefully it is a golden goose.

Wow! Nice! How are you finding the difficulty increase? Would you say rigs bought for the july release will be vaguely profitable with good times break even times? Bitmain have churned out a shit-tonne of these...

A lot of people got the second batch thurs/fri. I believe PPS was 1.43 LTC per day per L3+. Mine got held up by customs via Fedex until the next tues. By then PPS was 1.35 LTC per L3+ for a day and now has been around 1.1 LTC. Which is still pretty good maybe 45 day ROI at original sticker price. But I noticed I was getting "lucky" finding blocks, so while still feasible on Litecoin, I decided to go ahead solo. I wouldn't attempt to go solo on Bitcoin unless I had atleast 150-300 S9's.

Thanks for sharing.
I have tried to setup up one of my L3+ for TBDice but they keep saying my LTC address is wrong. Do I need to put in a private LTC wallet address? I was trying to dump to Poloniex LTC address.
Please share your L3+ antminer settings.
Thanks again.

Yes you need to put in a private LTC address, and private Dogecoin address.

Mining LTC and other alts since 2014 when I thought I missed the BTC train.

Workerid after LTC address optional if you plan to have more than worker on tbdice at a time. If you don't format the password line properly for doge, then it belongs to the pool if you find a doge block. After the doge address is completely optional. By adding email you lose your anonymity, but you get a triggered email if your worker restarts or you successfully mine a block.

by golley, I would have never figured out that password.
It is working!!!!!  And now both my worker and password have been approved by ltc.TBDice.org.

Hi Machine Zero..... Any reason diff_23592 for the L3+  ?   Thanks

You can use this simple formula to find out your starting difficulty: Instance speed in MH / 1.4 / 1000 * 65536. Example for 300MH it would be 300 / 1000 / 1.4 * 65536 = 14043.42 which equals to -p diff_14043. To be on a safe side you can use next power of two integer value, which is: log base 2(14043.42) = 13.77 = pow(2,14) = 16384. Unless there is no particular reason please do not set your diff inside password string. The pool auto adjusts per instance difficulty to maintain a share rate of approximately 3 shares per 10 seconds.

Antminer L3+ is 504/MHs
504 / 1000 / 1.4 * 65536 = 23,592.96

With the difficulty of Litecoin mining continuing to increase, why continue mining Litecoin with my L3 rather then other scrypt coins?

Ex.  Currently I can mine Goldcoin and earn 1BTC in 31 days improving the time it takes to ROI.  I can simply sell the Goldcoin on an exchange that carries it or exchange it for the equivalent LTC?

Just checking to see if that logic makes sense or if mining other scrypt coins is even possible

You can do that but keep in mind that such profitability spikes don't last, certainly not for months. Goldcoin difficulty will adjust too, and much quicker than LTC.

There used to be pools that would chase profitability like that, not sure if there are any left though. As you can imagine - massive amounts of hashrate switching between coins creates problems too.

NO

look at it this way..you put that same $$$ for such into BTC.... BTC price last friday or so when I sold some to pay off the last of my april bitmains to the bank loan (6k)
it was 2,508.00....as of now it is like $2,870 or some such....

odds are much better to just hold btc or ltc imho

i plan now to hold 1000 ltc from mining i already have a pretty good btc hoard.....is my plan

but no too much difficulty and imho bitmain will continue to put out units like toasters..it is what they do

if you plan on ltc or btc pumping to justify the equip then maybe you should just keep the coin....if you think the coin ltc or btc is gonna go sideways for a while and
no new equip as a result ...then maybe mine long term something

my view anyway

Old Style Legacy Plug & Play BBS System. Get it from www.synchro.net. Updated 1/1/2021. It also works with Windows 10 and likely 11 and allows 16 bit DOS game doors on the same Win 10 Machine in Multi-Node! Five Minute Install! Look it over it uninstalls just as fast, if you simply want to look it over. Freeware! Full BBS System! It is a frigging hoot!:)

I doubt that.

I even doubt it is worth to buy the miner itself with a 60 days delivery time.

There are many prepaid batches waiting to be delivered, the Diff. will rise huge.

As others said, direct investments into BTC or LTC could be better (less risk).

I ordered a L3+ a few weeks before (July Batch), but I regret it now.

so no one overclocked L3+s?

Here you have a victim, dont do it, I oc 8 L3+ to 419 and 1 get trouble with the hashboard, now it only run with 3 hashboard and automatically restart each 2-3 minutes. It does not worth the risk.

So I plan to remove the defective hashboard and let the L3+ run with only 3 hashboard only, maybe it will be more stable that way. Anyone try it with the S9 beofre?

Mainly below is for newbies..most of us on here are aware of the below:

Just to repeat for those thinking of getting Bitmain L3+'s that will arrive at the end of August or beginning of September

The July difficulty hash rate is going to be frigging epic. Bitmain has 3 batches of miners in that month just waiting to dump

thus, a lot of us expect it is going at least cut all profits per month in half at best after that point in time, just from the sheer

fact of bitmain putting them out as toasters....add an adjustement down on hashnet price should they choose and or the stuff after July too boot

well hell...it is gonna be interesting, to say the least

anyway, some of us been around bitmain being bitmain it is how they roll...shooting stuff out like toasters is the norm

anyway how I'm playing it anyway ...sitting on hands for now on more equip from bitmain

I tried GameCredits for a couple days. Since the difficulty adjusts on every block, the coinwarz calculations are off.
I assumed to mine about 32  coins a day last week when GameCredits was around 3.30. It was supposed ot be upto 50% more lucrative than Litecoin. But somehow I only earned 18 coins on an L3+. I think there were 9 orphans in that 24 hour period which was excessive and not figured in to calculations. Be very weary of these Alts with high orphan rates and auto adjusting difficulty (https://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/21730/how-does-the-kimoto-gravity-well-regulate-difficulty). You will need stats over a longer period of time to make sure they are really as lucrative as they appear.

I also didn't want to go through the pain of having yet another blockchain on my harddrives. So I opted for payout to the online wallet. Big mistake if you want to try to ShapeShift from there. GameCredits online wallet is cold, so I think someone manually processes sending transactions every 12-24 hours. ShapeShift times out in ten minutes and your funds are in limbo until finally sent, but returned minus a fee.
