now that i've placed an order for all my chips, on to finding a good case option, anything new on the case situation?  Also which psu's provide 8+ pcie power connectors?

Thermaltake 630W Germany Series Berlin has 2x8 pin PCI-E power cord. I have several running and they are fine. Good choice imho, nice price / wattage ratio. There are splitters, so 8+ pcs of connectors couldnt be a problem. Just calculate your power usage. Smiley

I just registered and paid for my order through the website, but im a little confused on the shipping.  I wanted it shipped, but it seems like its labeled as hosted.  There wasnt another option for shipped. am i ok?

This was an issue with switching the shipping calculator from development to live mode, and has since been addressed. Your account will be reviewed to ensure the proper amount is charged.

Agreed. (Also not liking the cleartext stored password, but I'll look past it).

Apologies. This is an oversite on the email template form and will be addressed tomorrow.

steamboat:
I paid for my miner assembly pertaining to batch #3.  I have 96 more chips in batch #6, do I need to pay for miner assembly for those now as well?

You may purchase assembly for Batch 6 chips at this time.

So I've got about 4 orders across different batches and wanted them hosted.

Is it the fully assembled option? I don't see where to pay the hosting charge

The option for hosting may be found under the shipping options. Chose hosting instead of a shipping method.

Awesome, thanks steamboat - great service.  I'm thinking batch #6 might fill faster if you move the post to the custom hardware group buy sub forum: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=137.0 with the rest of the asic chip group buys.

Order placed.. Early 30's woot!

However the international shipping rates were higher than the published rates on the first page. They were almost double than the $89.95?

Note: Site looks well done and straight forward, smooth ordering process. Good job

Thank you.

The shipping fees for the assembled units will be more as their dimensions are larger than the chips. The shipping table on the front page is for chips only.

Thank you the clarification. That makes sense.

Are there any warranties for the board and components? (Excluding chips of course)

I'm a bit unsure as to why you're accepting payments for assembly already, while the BKKcoins project is not yet finished and has not proven to be a fully working design.

Right but is it not a rather big risk to accept payments for something that isn't proven to be working yet?

Question on the DIY option,  what other tools or materials are required and how much time do you think it would take for a hobbyist with only experience assembling computers?

Thanks Steamboat!

Appreciate the good communication and the website looks pretty good.

Can I ask why we're pre-paying for assembly with such a tight deadline?  Are you mass ordering the part at the end of June?  I wasn't expecting to cough up bitcoins this quickly and it's not always a quick turnaround to find coins

Can someone PM me the website? If you look back in the thread, I have purchases from batches 3 and 4. This is a bit frustrating as the test email came through fine, but nothing in the way of the order website.

Before ordering the assembly I would much like clarification on this!

We have to pay before june 30, while BKKcoins has !!not yet!! confirmed that the design fully works. AFAIK he is still making changes to the design. How can you order parts for assembly when the design has not yet completed?

ALso, It'd be a tough job for me to get my funds to BTC in such a timely manner, and I rather not right now.

I just completed checkout as well.  I'm rather curious, how do you link the chip orders to the assembly/shipping orders?  In other words, how do you ensure a buyer has purchased enough chips?  I'm assuming it's by email address.

Can we part pay for the assembly/hosting etc? For example, I have chips for 16 boards, can I pay for 10 board's worth now, and the other 6 in a few weeks? I assume that would be OK, but it would be worth knowing for definite!

Cheers
