Criminality is one of the disadvantage of the bitcoin. They said bitcoin is using in the dark web or in the deep web to exchange in some rape,murdering,selling organs and many more. This is the reason why many country doesn't like to accept the bitcoin.

Yes in some criminality bitcoin has been the amount of payment for every transactions that they are made. Thats why there are some people doesnt want to learn bitcoins because they believes that bitcoin always comes from the bad thing and it will never be good to use it. And people started to saw it in news with bad background.

There is always  disadvantages and advantages of mostly everything in the entire world,  take a look at the internet, even drugs which were meant to treat ailments are being used to get high nowadays.  And it's no mystery that criminals and kidnappers are using bitcoins now easier to take the bitcoins and run then to go to a drop-off where there might be police officers waiting.

All of this must be looked for handling. There should be a regulation that regulates bitcoin so that later each user can account for what they do. But I think there must be a very careful thought, because we know that today bitcoin is anonymous so anything done will be difficult to trace. For now everything looks hard to do.

I think all the major exchanges are taking these things seriously ,as they are strict about KYC and other verification and with the new regulations coming out ,i am pretty sure that it will be a mandatory to provide your identity if you are dealing with bitcoin and the biggest problem will be the privacy becomes a big factor as your assets will be known by the government.

I think it is upto the users of Bitcoin will whether to use bitcoin in good or bad way, why even fiat currency is also being used for all criminal activity, Gold was the main source of criminal activity before but did everyone started to avoid it NO. So why all are thinking bitcoin as bad currency.

Bitcoin is a criminal's paradise in terms of storing their money if you want to say it as that but criminality is all around the world in all things so Bitcoin is not exempted in criminal works though, in every each one of the fiat currency that exist today is being use by bad and good people so what is the difference.

That is true, an inanimate creation can't do nothing by itself, no one could say if it's evil or good, everything depends the person who is using this, if it's being used for the good or for the evil. Bitcoin is used by both, and it's not Bitcoin fault or its creator fault. Anonymously or not people will continue buying and selling drugs, doing money laundry and many other crimes, also Bitcoin isn't 100% anonymous.

That's true, crime is already done many times on internet and now we have bitcoin currency and it can also be used as tool for any internet crime like just wannacry did on there ransomeware attack, they used bitcoin as payment of there crime.

Not at all.Bitcoin has nothing to do with criminality ratio.It was in earlier stages,bitcoin was adopted by black markets.But now bitcoin is used for all purposes and it has investors all over the world.Even if criminals want to use crypto coins for the reason anonymity,then they would feel safe by using altcoins like monero and zcash which are fully anonymous instead of bitcoin which is pseudo anonymous.

I do believe in that theory. If we notice that as development is taking place and the population is also growing criminality also pops out. This means that if we have development we dont only reap positive effects but also the negative elements that is attracted to it. The same principle is applied to bitcoin and cryptocurrency. Bitcoin is a kind of development in the financial payment system thus it attracts criminals to use bitcoin as a tool to scam, hack or to rob money or bitcoin from a victim. Thus bitcoin does not only bring positive events but also negative activities. But it doesnt mean that bitcoin is evil but rather if people are evil then bitcoin will be also used in evil.

Its really hard to argue with them since they don't really know about the details on bitcoin. Doesn't sound right to me. Properganda much ? Criminals will always use what is at their disposal to evade the law and get what they want. Masks or pantyhose play s big part in srmed robbery so should we ban them as well ? Eventually we will have banned everything. We can't seal the darkness or bad things that can be connected to these digital currency, with it's suitable features, it can be really used to these kind of crimes. But I think we must also thank thise guys because of them the price of bitcoin is pumping because they are helping us make bitcoin increase their value. You don't need to argue with your friends because it will depend on the users how will they use these digital currency.

Yes you are right criminals will always take advantage of everything just to evade and avoid being caught by the authorities the only problem is what they chose to evade criminal activity is transacting payments via Bitcoin, without the boundaries of their own money the government can't track all the transactions being made with Bitcoin. The only way to win against your friend's argument is prove that you as a user of Bitcoin is not a criminal and you are earning Bitcoin from an online source. Being able to influence your friends with it will be a big step for both you and your friend in changing other persons as well.

Well i will agree with others that much criminality was already before BTC comed around. And it is not especially right saying that BTC makes criminal network growing high, cause it is not BTC, that is just more criminals.

Well to me, this depends on the view. Bitcoin can be of help to criminal acts in the form of using raw money stole from the country and use it to buy Bitcoin and a free movement without been caught or held ransome as a criminal.

Bitcoin is arguably a novelty that's why law enforcement against crime involving bitcoin has not received much attention. So, the criminals can still explore it. In my country, the government pretends that bitcoin does not exist. If you become a victim of theft of bitcoins then you won't even take a police report because a theft has no price and thus is not a property. So the criminals feel quite freely when dealing with bitcoins.

I might reply to friends who think all bitcoin is for criminal activity something like...
"Let me see a dollar from your wallet" then I would tuck the dollar somewhere like their belt  or something. Then I would say "You are a stripper! I always knew it! That dollar was probably in the bra of a stripper therefor, you are also a stripper."    Of course my logic wouldn't be met well with enthusiasm so I would remind them that as a Bitcoin user and enthusiast, I am still NOT a criminal.   Hopefully then I would get a small round of applause.  Point is- we are millions of users of Bitcoin.  MSN and CBS and similar mainstream media are filling the media with scare stories and that's why you rarely hear the heart warming tales that involve Bitcoin.  People gravitate towards bad news.
