Until today criminals always want to threaten us and hide from government control, they are getting more advance, smarter, hard to be traced, from that they use bitcoin as a great tool to commit illegal things, bitcoin can not be traced so they use bitcoin for illegal transactions.

Almost all the currencies or the things that can be used in crimes are being used and not just bitcoin. We all know that bitcoin is anonymous but it doesn't mean that bitcoin is the main tool that being used to do crimes. You are right that even before bitcoin, the cyber crimes are already happening and it only depends on the authorities to stop it.

there is direct relation of money and criminality but it depend on the user of money if any one have large number of bitcoin then it depend on them that he is using that bitcoin if he used them for good work then its best for him and if he used for criminal work then it give bad result to him.

I agree with this idea. I think there is a strong relationship between bitcoin and criminality. Because people always find a way for earning much more money with crime. If you were a godfather, it would be easy to send big money to your partners with bitcoin.

I do not believe bitcoin can increase the number of criminals in a country. Do not blame a product over a criminal but blame the person who has misused the product.

I will ask the same question I asked long time ago here in similar thread, how the hell criminals transferred their money before bitcoin? If criminals adopted bitcoin faster then governments to me that sound that they are smarter, maybe we should follow criminals not governments? Criminals and governments are fighting in a war that last for decades and who is winning? There is more wars, more criminals, more guns, drugs, murder's then ever before, so what kind of war that is without an end? And who suffer most from their war ordinary people I will say, while rich people are richer, banks have more then ever my salary is the same like it was 10 years ago and prices are 100% up. In moment when I need money  to feed my family and I don't have it what should I do? Don't speak bad about criminals cause that is a choice from a need, we didn't choose place where we wish to be born, and we didn't choose our parents, think about it before you start to judge others.

I believe that existance of bitcoin has increase the cyber criminality but not in all country.
But this case happen is not all because bitcoin but some other reason too. So we can not blame all to bitcoin.

I still remember the first time I heard bitcoin was money used for drug deals, I've also seen movies that use bitcoin for drug deals, and I've never seen a movie that uses bitcoin in addition to illegal transactions. Anyone who saw the film must have thought that bitcoin is so close to criminality. But the assumption is only for people who are new to bitcoin, if we dig deeper into the many benefits of using 😂

I believe there is no immediate relationship amongst criminal exercise and bitcoin. BTC is a single of monetary instruments. And, of cource, legal factors use it as use other economic instruments. Some states scared bitcoin and use it as a explanation for bitcoin (and crypto at all) forbidding.

it might have been a cause for some criminality but not all crimes are associated with bitcoins, of course it depends totally on the person who uses it. he is solely responsible for his action.

These are not interrelated. Criminality could be done with any currency or any other valuables.  If you feel, Bitcoin is more vulnerable for crime or related illegal activities, then its only because Bitcoin is a decentralised currency with no single authority to regulate it.



Many criminals ask for Bitcoin (1) it’s a cryptocurrency (2) in decentralised form (3) no KYC documentation is attached to this, means anyone can hold or transact without any regulatory requirements anonymously.

Criminality is not only with bitcoin it can happen by any other means.
Criminals does approach top companies demanding bitcoin via hacking.
Bitcoin option would be only a choice for criminals we can accept if it is like scamming/banned but that sounds quite different. Then we should say many Scammy or ponzi sites available are criminals some times reason why they do not exist long-term.

I think this as a propaganda to drop the value of bitcoin in the eyes of the world, in Indonesia this has happened, a hacker from England try to hack Dharmais Hospital located in Jakarta. by asking for a ransom by paying him with bitcoin, but the police's alertness in Britain was able to arrest the perpetrator. If indeed bitcoin is used for criminals I think it's a coincidence. And I'm the one who disagrees if bitcoin is associated with negative things.
