I think bitcoin and crime are not related to each other .. not when bitcoin is not still crime. Offenders can take advantage of anything on the internet to commit their crime. I think bitcoin is a safe and smart system so it is not easy to be abused by criminals

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

what do you mean by that mate? because most of the criminals already excel so digital currency would be a good option for them look what happen to some business who's been attack by ransomware virus  they are asking for bitcoin payments the hackers knew that after receiving the ransom they can use mixers to
make it untraceable.

With the anonymity of bitcoin, there is no wonder that criminals that discovers bitcoin will start using it for their illegal transactions. It is the same as with fiat where they can also find ways to use them for their illegal transactions.

https://www.deepdotweb.com/2016/01/23/bitcoin-playing-an-increased-role-in-crime-europol-says/

Would you believe that the existence of bitcoin has increased the number of criminality in  some countries in the world. This is the issue that was being thrown by the EuroPol and the UK Metropolitan Police. According to them bitcoin has played a huge role on the increasing criminality in their area. They added that a huge number of cybercriminals were using bitcoins in their activities.

This just shows that as bitcoin develops both advantages and disadvantages will tag along.

If we will focus on criminality, it has two sides. The advantage and the disadvantage. In the advantage, it decreases the crime in person because you doesn't need to carry a large amount of money if you want to buy something. You just need to connect to internet to have you transaction. While the disadvantage is that, many people abused the use of it and use it in illegal terms.

Just some bullshit complaints by some haters. Criminality is everywhere, even before bitcoin was invented, people who are criminal's by default still find a way to do whatever they want to do. Blockchain tech however may make it easier but it depends on each countries policy. However, attributing bitcoin to criminality all the time is becoming tiring to the ears. They can find something to do about it based on each country's policy rather than complaining.

Bitcoin and crime does not have a very significant relationship, but with the growing publicity bitcoin can be a tool of crime, for example money laundering and asset storage by the corruptors. It is one of the crimes that need to be wary of.

Criminality is everywhere, even before bitcoin was invented, people who are criminal's by default still find a way to do whatever they want to do. Blockchain tech however may make it easier but it depends on each countries policy.

The ironic thing is that most blockchains, including Bitcoin, are extremely transparent. So it doesn't make it easier to launder money and engage in crime. People thought that it did for years, probably due to a combination of BTC's obscurity and a general misunderstanding of the technology.

Now, we have a whole industry of companies whose job is to analyze blockchain money flow, link transactions to identities, etc. and they work very closely with law enforcement agencies. It's a new era, and the government is not nearly as clueless as people think they are.

As bitcoins is anonymous and decentralised it becomes hard to track one's transaction and this is used by criminals to ransom money. But all currencies are vulnerable to criminal activities it is not right to blame bitcoin.Fiat can also be use for all kind of criminal activities. But I think this is the major reason why many countries are afraid of legalization of bitcoins. And looking at today's technology i think transaction somewhat can be track.

yes, it could be happened ,

cause there are no records of transections of Bitcoin.
no one controls it.

Bitcoin can be a very easy way to pay for terrorist activities.
really, it is very risky, that's why  Some countries have banned Bitcoin.

cyber crimes existed before bitcoin came in and will continue to do so,every coin has two sides similarly every technology can be used in bad or good terms. No doubt anonymity of Bitcoin makes it a favourite among criminals.frauds ,scams ,threats, and selling and buying drugs have been increased, but this things exist in real world transactions too.so it totally rely upon the users how they wanna benefit from this platform .

these are really possible and it is like with fiat as well. I am not sure if there are really countries that banned bitcoin and if there is, there is really an easy way out on it by proxies and the like.

It will happen until peoples demons will change. That was and will be in the future. People want a better life and some of them could do anything to change their life for the better. So they're making scams and steal goods.

Maybe this one of the reasons that the government could not make bitcoin a legalize currency im some countries because they are afraid that bitcoin can be used to illegal activities that may increase the numbers of criminals.
Its a valid reason to not legalize bitcoin but I dont buy the story of saying bitcoin has increased criminality when in-fact fiat is the top mediums when it comes to aiding criminal activities  and besides once you chose to use bitcoin for such activities the money trail will always be there....

Quote
But if bitcoin don't have any record of cyber crimimals maybe it can be legalize by the government.
Our governments are well informed that cyber crime did not start because of bitcoin...legalisation battles are far from cyber crime imo.

No, I do not think that bitcoin contributed to the increase in crime. Crime existed for a very long time, even probably when there was no paper money. It's all from human anger and greed.

Criminality is been drastic since the day life has began. It's been many years, decades and centuries that criminals been roaming around this world. Pointing bitcoin and blame it for those activities made by criminals are just a childish perspective. Do we blame any fiat currency that has been used in many drugs transactions? Money laundering? No, we don't. So be fair to bitcoin as it is just a victim of those propagandists.

still you can't do that in larger size , what i mean are when actually there's a lot of criminality through fiat instead bitcoin , those people who blame bitcoin are the one who can't solve the problem with the real issue and looking for something to blame. if a government really want to adopt bitcoin they could prevent something like that and develop bitcoin into next level and become a better currency to used widely.

I'm in 400,000 euros debt , dont help me , i rather die
