I don't think that because criminality and bitcoin are not directly related to each other. Infact the decentralization and anonymity of BTC has made it perfect for all people who want to avoid high bank taxes and do not want to be controlled by corrupt political. Bitcoins are not found to increase crime rate in any society. They are just a mode of payment.

Anything that can be a form of payment by criminals are a good target by them to use in their illegal transactions - that is really the hard truth that we need to accept and leave the catching with these criminals by our enforcers. |

I do not think so. Criminals will exist anywhere. Where there is money, where there are criminals. But bitcoin is not accepted by the government. There will be no one to protect your interests when robbed bitcoin.

I think the crime will increase, because bitcoin does not have a government to admit. No one will intervene when we are bitcoin robbed. Because simple bitcoin is not acknowledged

Bitcoin is uses for a lot of good purposes, it is depends on how people used for good or bad activities. Criminality is issue to a lot of people is doing illegal activities through fiat and there is always a law if they get caught by doing illegal activities. If people used bitcoin for criminality it is their choice, we cannot blame bitcoin here, we dont have law on it because it is decentralized. Instead, we must be careful on our bitcoin, criminal is everywhere, dont trust anyone.

Popularity can never scape critics. I dont beleived in such allegation, but of course there is criminality happens, but that is not a problem of bitcoin to solve, becuase even though criminality has being increased. I can say it is only 20% and 80% is on a good activities such as helping people for their dailey income for a living. Its the euroPol and metropolitan police who are concerned to maintained on tracking a criminals. Its a choice of a people if where they wanted to use their time. On bad things or in a good things.

Criminals can still do whatever they want. Even before that bitcoin was not yet created, criminals and their evil doings still executed. They can do these things if they really want all for the sake of money. But it is much easy for them to do these things because bitcoin does not need any information coming from its client. So doing criminality is easy. |

But we can can agree that with the use of Bitcoins, those who are into ransom has increased their chances of not blowing up their cover.Compared to fiat currency they can only transact within their political bounds but since bitcoin can be used globally without passing any banks cybercriminals can now find a victim in any place in the world using the web.

Though we cant deny that Bitcoin is at great disadvantage when it comes to illegal activity as well as other cryptocurrencies due its anonymous transactions. |

I doubt it. Criminality is everywhere with or without bitcoin. Yes it can be use in illegal act but illegal acts are already existed before bitcoin was born. For me, what ever technology will be invented, if a person has a criminal mind then there will always be a crime.

I think you can't blame bitcoin in their crime rate because crime is always there even though they don't have bitcoin on there place. We can't say that bitcoin causes crime because its a way to earn money not compare to drugs or other crime related things. So its not a cause of crime.

Crime not only with bitcoin alone can happen in other ways.
Criminals are indeed approaching top companies that demand bitcoin through hacking.
Bitcoin's choice is only an option for criminals we can accept if likes to cheat / banned but it sounds very different. Then we have to say a lot of Scammy or ponzi sites available are criminals several times the reason why they are not there in the long run.
