https://www.deepdotweb.com/2016/01/23/bitcoin-playing-an-increased-role-in-crime-europol-says/

Would you believe that the existence of bitcoin has increased the number of criminality in  some countries in the world. This is the issue that was being thrown by the EuroPol and the UK Metropolitan Police. According to them bitcoin has played a huge role on the increasing criminality in their area. They added that a huge number of cybercriminals were using bitcoins in their activities.

This just shows that as bitcoin develops both advantages and disadvantages will tag along.

Maybe offense by bitcoin. I agree with but bitcoin have very opportunity so who criminal  they accept this opportunity. so to be watch out all bitcoin agency so that no offense in bitcoin side.

Not really, its more likely the existence of internet because bitcoin is only a mode of payment which is used for illegal transactions in the internet. With or without bitcoins underground transactions would still continue and they will just find new mode of payment because it is easy to mask your identity and actions throughout the internet.

It depends on what we want to see from which side. If I personally see bitcoin can even reduce criminal losses in the streets due to drug transactions. With bitcoin, can buy drugs without the risk of meeting gangsters and threats of crime. Surely profitable for the police.

Well I don't think so bitcoin can not increase the rate of criminality in a country that is highly organize, because to access bitcoin there are so many things that will be at play not like faint money that can be access easily.
The only way I think bitcoin can aid criminality is in the area of arms purchased purchasing bitcoin can be use to buy arms easily.
Bitcoin can increase the rate of criminality in a country or community because as you can see that the bitcoin is anonymous and the people can take advantage of that to use it to transact different illegal things without getting noticed by the authorities. Bitcoin is decentralized so it is very risky for the authorities to fully trust bitcoin since it has a disadvantage.

I cannot truly comprehend men and women saying there is a url between criminality and bitcoin. Clearly, there just isn't. As one particular of the customers said previously mentioned, the criminals preserve likely. They can get paid in cash, income, gold, any useful point. Bitcoin has nothing at all do with it.

I agree for the most part. Even without bitcoin or cryptocurrencies, criminals have many other avenues of payment. It is a fact, however, that Bitcoin is easier and more convenient to use, and I see how that could convince a few people to cross over. In the big picture though, its impact should be negligible at best.

I find it hard to believe. In our country it's the opposite actually. The crime rate decreases, because people who were desperate to find jobs resulted to bitcoin, so now they just do bitcoin. However, there are still cyber crimes reported such as scamming.

I dont believe that criminality increases because of increase in Bitcoin even before Bitcoin was made criminality always grow and increase rapidly because of the needs of some poor people and also the greediness of some criminals So its not right to blame Bitcoin for the increase of criminality maybe there is a increase in hacking in internet but that was still not enough reason to blame Bitcoin for the increase in criminality.

This is just an excuse governments use to ban cryptos. Maybe Bitcoin transactions are untrassable and criminal uses it to pay for their crimes but thats not Bitcoin problem. Ask your self: how criminals managed their activities before the shown of Bitcoin?
Should we stop using bitcoin just because some people use it to do bad things?

I don't believe that Bitcoin has enabled criminals more than what cash has. Cash is basically untraceable where as Bitcoin transactions are all public. I doubt a criminal would want their payment to be seen in public just in case the authorizes can put 2 and 2 together.

According to me there will be some criminality where bitcoin will exists because it is consider true about bitcoin that bitcoin existence can cause a big increases in criminality and that’s why in some countries bitcoin is banned and people earn bitcoin there by using VPN like apps to unblock which is also a crime and people goes against their government here.

I agree with that bitcoin is completely illegal and those who invest are also criminals but those who use bitcoin for negative activities and then also profit use for drugs like things and drinking alcohol then it will be danger and there will be criminality but those people who invest for their future and want to have secure future then it is really good use of bitcoin.

I do not think that there is any direct relation of bitcoin with criminality. Bitcoin is a new emerging currency and i do not think that most of the criminal have enough knowledge about bitcoin. i am sure bitcoin may not be the right way to increase their criminality. I am sure that in present time bitcoin may be use as for legal activities, for example to play gambling for shopping online and transfer of fund from one place to another place.

Does bitcoin realy good for criminal deals? Your transaction can be tracked if you spend your bitcoin easily. Altcoins like Moneo is more preferable

I think the countries that banned bitcoin are just trying to remove the possibility of bitcoin taking over in their country or any other foreign currencies for that matter. It is also a good way for the government to show dominance and remind people that they are still in power, or at least create the illusion of that. Bitcoin is not going to be ever fully banned at all. I doubt that bitcoin users from countries like that are even doing any effort to not get caught using bitcoin. I mean, there are tons of criminals out there walking like a normal citizen, why would they give attention to people just trying to earn some money from the Internet.

criminality is made about bitcoin. such as cyber crime.  such as someone hacking  your account with cyber crime and transfer your money to your account.

What, lol. Cyber crime has been happening far before bitcoin was ever made. Bitcoin accounts or wallets are a million times harder to hack in compared to other payment methods like Paypal.

Bitcoin is simply an opportunity, a door and a new way. It is not fair when you view it only a tool for criminals to scam people.
Have you heard of skimming? It is an electronic method of capturing a victim's personal information used by identity thieves.
For example, when you use your debit/credit card to withdraw money from the ATM scammers will capture the data and use it to steal your money.
So do you think that ATMs are bad in general? Just because thieves found a new way to steal people's money?
