EK, Coralreefer. Could you guys answer some of these technical questions people are asking here.

Thank you !

I'd prefer that devs spend their valuable time on the most important thing that is elastic development . As we know elastic is working , devs are improving everyday the platform as far as i understand . When we get more people on board answers will be given , currently we have 4 persons who are doing everything . If we have some techy guys here other than devs who can reply to the questions it would be good to elaborate . Community asked for a lite wallet , now let them do what they need to do .

Completely agree. Our dev's time is better served doing dev work instead of answering stuff here on a daily/frequent basis.

Curious, why everyone persists to compare XEL to Golem.
Why not comparing it to SONM?
SONM team has proven top-notch software professionals on board + a lot of money raised through ICO.
They are the real danger to XEL's future not Golem.

Everyone, expecting price rocketing now, would also try to take into account that
the current XEL price is 20-30 times higher ICOs price...

SONM clearly know little or nothing about Elastic, since in their review of us, they got lots of things wrong.

Also, reading their material does not give one confidence that they have a clear idea of where they're going.

I'd be interested to hear why you think their team is top-notch and what their proven track record is.

Trace their lead devs' bios.
Add here the funds they have now.
They might be a very strong player in this niche.
Soon, we'll know.
6 monts is a deadline.
Who hits the market with a real working product first is also a very important thing.

I'm sure that Golem and SONM may be great projects, no denying that. I'm also positive that they have supporters trolling Elastic here on this thread, which is beyond childish. The only thing that both those projects have over Elastic is their marketing campaigns. Each project has their niche, but I myself think Elastic is a superior project. All three projects have raised a substantial amount of money and will continue to do so, which should be applauded. This is difficult to do even in the stock market with an "IPO". Let the devs finish what they started and take Elastic beyond the crypto world.  Wink

at first wasn't sure...but now in given DYOR and talks i've had with others.  ppl who bought this way back i'm sure have already had huuuuge nice returns, but such is now the addition to trex.  nice floor at 16-18k now...accumulation time, easy buys Smiley - loaded up since this project has a bright future IMO.  hopefully it doesn't dump to shit but the upside (and whales/bots support) seem to be there.  soooooooo hold0r and wait for moon.

Because anytime the price wants to move up pass 18k, there is a .............( you fill the blank ) guy that puts a sell order in a chunk of 200-500k . Anyway, it's day 2 , this game won't continue long.

Show me another currency that started with 25x on initial price and did not get dumped. It's a miracle we maintained this price level.

Bittrex listing does not necessarily mean pump. The coin has reasonable traffic but I wouldn't be surprised if price falls even lower, like 10k. After all, the only thing publicly and officially released is a simple wallet

In the long run it won't matter, but price may not reflect value until well into 2018. Patient people will be rewarded.

Please use the speculation thread to talk about the price.

In summary, the Intel Management Engine and its applications are a backdoor with total access to and control over the rest of the PC. The ME is a threat to freedom, security, and privacy, and the libreboot project strongly recommends avoiding it entirely. Since recent versions of it can’t be removed, this means avoiding all recent generations of Intel hardware. details https://libreboot.org/faq.html#intelme --- https://tehnoetic.com/laptops --- https://store.vikings.net/x200-ryf-certfied

Is it possible to install a local XEL node? Or no because we only have a Lite launch? If it's possible, where would one go about installing one/setting it up? Want to share my laptop computing power while I'm at home on my PC  Grin

Is there any roadmap which gives some clues on when the supercomputer will start to work?
I'm also reading in thread that this project is better than Somn, but any technical reasoning someone is ready to share behind this claim?

Sometimes trying to compare things is not as easy as you'd think.  Elastic is a programmable, decentralised supercomputer, which means it's very versatile, since the only limitations are what can be programmed in the language, which is Elastic PL.
Here's a use case example video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oo4bn550YEk

There's also this comparison with some of the other supercomputer projects out there:
