To remove the responsibility for the manipulation of the market, you need to write in your twitter, need to warn the others then :

Xel is just a coin that will be used later when calculating for services in the Elastic project. We, the creators of the project will publish any news that we want to tweet on our own, even if after that the coin does not cost anything. We sometimes do not at all think that we are talking, it does not matter to us how this affects the cost of the Village token. We are just a team of programmers who have released their ICO and we really hope that we will succeed. For this reason, do not distract us from our work and do not ask unnecessary questions, wait and hope - that's all we want from you. Those people who bought Xel do not mean anything to us, they just now have our coin in their wallet.

Probably Elastic is a great project and there are good programmers, but they came into business when they made ICO. In business, there are rules that need to be respected.
At least learn to ask for forgiveness for the actions of his team.

Ok, not ICO just listing the Xel tokens on the exchange. If the team does not want to be responsible for the consequences of their words on Twitter, let it be written that they have nothing to do with their tokens, they are just programmers and it's their twitter.

Arguably now is not yet the time for marketing, when the code is a work in progress.  People most interested in the technical potential will get it at a low price during this altcoin bear market, and that is appropriate enough.

The decentralization mindset here is reminiscent of Bitcoin in ways.  Like there is no "Bitcoin, Inc.," there is no "Elastic, Inc."

Overall, the incident seems to be a combination of a cultural misunderstanding and different people going their own directions while having had access to the same Twitter account.

Marketing could come later but could be best when with a marketing group simply having already received a BTC or XEL payment up front from the person contacting them, not expecting some kind of endorsement.

(I'm not clear exactly what this marketing group expected from the programmers, other than being disappointed by the Twitter issue.  As an analogy, any random person could advertise Bitcoin, without Satoshi Nakamoto's personal endorsement, nor EK or Coralreefer's, though waiting until more of the code is completed could be better timing).

Oh indeed, which is one of the benefits of decentralization.  IIRC, I think it was someone other than the programmers, as, from their perspective, the market is not their direct concern one way or another.  Which is fair enough.

There is https://twitter.com/elastic_coin, there it is indicated that their site https://www.elastic.pw/, on this site it is indicated that their tokens are represented in 2 exchanges https://bittrex.com/Market/ Index? MarketName = BTC-XEL, and https://heatwallet.com,

It turns out that anyone can write on Twitter and anything? But this has a direct relationship to the Xel token and its value.

We know reportedly that the person making the uncoordinated post has had access removed.  I don't know who all has access still to the Twitter account, but personally I wouldn't worry about it unless it happens again.

if it's a scam, then why should they partner with a marketing agency. It seems that some people lose their deposit and rock the boat.

Even now, the ~ $25+ million market cap is a number of times more than than what was donated back in 2016.  Some traders buying in much later are unhappy for now, but strategies other than long-term HODLing are tricky even on Bitcoin itself, let alone altcoins.  Usually there is also some trolling from fans of projects perceived by some to be in competition, like the Monero vs Dash rivalry.

It's just when people do not understand how to put the right words in a certain situation, they will be put together on one step for example with Monaco.

I say that what was written on Twitter later - it's bad words. One could think and write with love to the holders of Xel. Although somehow try to take care in this situation about those people who started to buy helium for 8000. There are countries where wages are $ 100 per month and constant inflation and these people are running into crypto-currencies ...

I just seen a twitter post pointing out something rather valid: these 3 githubs contain over 15,000 commits to xel, with the latest being updated within the last 24hours

https://github.com/sprocket-fpga/xel_miner/commits/master

https://github.com/OrdinaryDude/ElasticPrototypeWallet/commits/master

https://github.com/unvo1d/Elastic-XEL-Litewallet/commits/master

now sit here and tell me 15,000 commits is a scam  Grin development is very active, there is simply no fake hype like other projects, the second news gets release she doubles in price. decentralized supercomputer systems are future tech, condider this on STRAT before the pump, dont let butthurt twitter hype buyers make you  dump your bags, for this is a x100 project, without a doubt. big respect to the developers so far.

+1

Unfortunately the scammy pumper groups on Twitter are throwing tantrums because their pump was stopped and they didn't sell in time, glad they won't be coming back. Elastic has a bright future!

There was a lot of people spreading FUD around most of the top 10 cryptos a few years ago. After some time people stop believing their nonsense and the project grows with or without then, XEL will be no different. For now they will spread lies of XEL being a scam but the devs will prove them wrong in time. Pump and dump social media groups are the biggest scammers of all time, doing anything for followers or allowing people to pay BTC to join and get in on the pump groups plans, it is just market manipulation of younger markets, once grown they will have zero power.

I can wait Smiley

I sold the whole Xel when I read the tweet message on 6200, I see how the pumps sit and they have a lot of Xel on the schedule and they are trying to tell everything now, that they are buying Xel now, but they say only to sell their Xel and then it will fall again .

I am a Holder, but I can analyze the situation on the market.

Without marketing, a Xel can lose a time. Very few people know it now. If they knew him more, they already came up with tasks and ways of using it. Ilon Mask in relation to the giants had not only confidence but also good timely marketing.
