In case you have missed it...

We have recently added servers in Canada (Montreal area): https://slushpool.com/news/canadian-servers-available-now-for-bitcoin-mining/

Zcash mining is now free of charge and both currently used ASICs are perfectly supported: https://slushpool.com/news/zcash-updates-0-fee-and-asic-support/

Any chance you guys will add support for the better (IMHO) version of zcash - ZenCash ?

As FatnSlo mentioned, he got a reply in about 10 hours.

Just like many other miners that contacted us regarding this issue via our only official support channel: https://support.slushpool.com/

Wow.  "Many" miners, you say?

Just wondering why it's the miners that are obligated to contact you and tell you that your pool isn't functioning,

... rather than you posting on your site that you detected your pool was not working correctly for your miners and you were already working on a fix to your problem.

That's a difference with a distinction.

The pool was functioning fine, just the rewards for one block were calculated improperly.

If no action from miners is required, no hash rate or coins are in stake and the issue is supposed to be fixed soon, we believe that it is better to not bother the miners. Furthermore, the issue was fixed way before the block has matured.

We have not received a single complaint from our miners regarding the way we handled this situation.

Thank you for your concern though. Smiley

So nothing in this thread is viewed as a "complaint".    Got it.    lol

It is pretty obvious that the majority of complaints here is posted by supporters of a different pool, not our miners.

I guess it would be better to support your favorite pool in a more constructive way.

Our miners can always ask for a help here: https://support.slushpool.com/

Majority yes, but you said zero complaints from miners at your pool, when it's obvious that we can see at least two in the past few pages on this thread.

Funny I notice this.  Pools that are mostly hashed by outside miners usually run a lower fee than those that run most hash in house.  They get the 2% back for the most part.  It’s just extra money for the pool op to grow their farm if you mine on these pools.  The ones that don’t want you to mine charge upwards of 4% or keep blocks rewards for their engineers etc.  there are def some pools that are operated by people that get btc.  The rest are just here for the money.  Decentralization isn’t even a concern for these big guys anymore.  Hopefully satoshi design is correctly built such that they get their hand slapped;). Only time will tell

And just to state here, the last two pages show exactly why I left kano pool and switched to slush....

Most active users defend Kano pool like a religion, critical posts will unfortunately be deleted and other threads are always spammed with the same chants.....

Plus I'm very satisfied with Slushpool service: I get a great app to check on my miners, I get E-Mails if something fails and I'm more than willing to pay 1.1% of my stuff to get notified immediately if something is wrong, since I'm just a hobby miner and not everything is monitored excellently.

And that you get delayed answers is pretty normal for a pool with that member size... .

So all I can say is: Keep up the good work, slushpool staff.

I agree the Kano cult is a bit much at times. Ala the bcash talking shit about bitcoin  without proving themselves. Mining is simple math and it’s very easy to compare one vs. another.

I just decided to take a break from slush until they calirfy the 400ph of miners being paid without providing work. Slush, you need to provide some proof as to what’s going on as these accusations have some merit and certainly make me and others uncomfortable.

Hall of Fame is rather "for fun" statistics that show users with top Peak Hash Rate. It does not say anything about the amount of the work contributed by listed users or rewards paid to the users. We will not go into details since we value users privacy, let's just say it is perfectly reasonable to be listed in the "Peak Hash Rate" table and not in the "Found Blocks" table. Hope this makes sense to you.

We provide transparency through Hash Rate Proof. Feel free to investigate it here:

Beyond that - does Slush even run on ckpool, or do they use one of the few other public pool programs, or their own pool software?

We have our very own backend.

Minefarmbuy thank you for your answer. I have read the FAQ about the hash rate and the reward systems. Based on the hash rate block they gave me my rewards. However the thing I can not get an answer is how they calculate Daily Rewards, so I can understand why is such a difference. Pitty I had to change pool and they had a very good monitoring application for iOS.

This is still a PPLNS pool, so your daily reward is based on the number of blocks confirmed (found 100 blocks before) in the previous 24 hours.  That will vary day to day.

I'm the last person you want to answer math questions but I imagine it's just an estimation on current luck and pool hash, not guaranteed.

True the PPLNS is not warranty about the daily earnings but such a high difference I could not expect it. One to eight the difference, between actual earnings and Daily Rewards. Do you think I should stick to the pool and this can be something random? Thank you guys.
