I also think that orders should be reserved by when you PAY.

I don't quite disagree with you since I did pay instantly, but that could be problematic for anyone paying by wire, no?  It sure would suck to get one of the first orders in and then be pushed back to the second batch just because you had cash in hand and had to wait 3 days for it to get transferred.

Yeah but you choose to be an idiot and wire transfer.....get a prepaid CC and pay through paypal.

You would only get 45 days Paypal protection. Prepaid cards are debit, not credit, therefore minimal if any protection from an issuing bank...

On paypal is there anyway to extend protection if not recieved in 45 days?  Or is 45 days final cutoff as far as paypal?

Their cut-off liability wise. It's only a digital escrow for their mother company eBay to give piece of mind in receiving eBay listings globally.

The liability held by credit cards is far greater, but some cc companies do not like third party payments like Paypal and Amazon, so you must check with your CCard's issuing bank.

Barclay's for instance wen I rang up about KnC were surprisingly cool...but that's a UK bank, apparently I have 6 years!? That said I've also read that I must initiate complaint prior to 120days after initial promised delivery. I know nothing about this stateside.

3. Confirmation Emails not sent: Some people have not received a confirmation email about their orders. We suggest them to check their spam folder. We are using Amazon's SES service to send all emails, so there should not be any issues with delivery. However, if you log into your account and it says "processing" against your order, that means the payment has been received.

Thanks for clear this up. I checked the spam folder, but no confirm email at all. But its fine, since processing = payment has been received.
Maybe you could rename this state to "processing (payment received.)"

[edit - I was basing this on sequential order numbering, which I now believe is not the case - I was totally off base on my numbers]

I dont think so.  However, there are probably a lot of unpaid orders lower than 600 up for grabs.

And unfortunately, if people end up buying early orders even days later, that were not paid for, and then pay for them, other customers who paid right away will be bumped down the line and into the second or third batch.  Totally sucky.   This is a consequence of shipping based on order date instead of pay date.

On second thought, some paid pre-orders will be up for grabs too, so I guess it just more of the same.

Orders that were in BTC only have 8 hours to pay, don't they?

Terrahash isn't going to answer this. It would cause too many people to start asking for refunds once they found out the bad news.

Same reason why he lied and did not post the Avalon order info on Monday as promised (which would have let potential customers know how few chips he had). He wants start-up money for his business.

But please, keep on asking. Hopefully Terrahash will be more transparent in the future. I want him to succeed. I just couldn't give my hard earned money to him.

bump

Can you comment on assembly-only order that would have chips sooner than you? I'm on zefir batch 2 group buy which is order 4/18. So theoretically I would have chip 3 weeks earlier than you (hopefully). Would you be able to handle assembly-only order first assuming you have the boards/firmware ready as well? Order #487 still thinking when I should pay up or not Wink

2. PayPal: We received a lot of funds in PayPal today. About 60% of the payments received today were made via PayPal. We were not anticipating this. Our account being new, PayPal might have denied payments from a few people. However, we haven't received any communication from PayPal about our account being under any review, nor has our access been limited to the account in any way. We are still investigating why some people were not able to pay with PayPal.

Terra hash if their order total was over $10k inc. shipping, Paypal will deny them.

If their address is outside the format Paypal wants it to be, Paypal will deny them.

It's probably one of those two.

Also, you need to be straight up with when you made chip orders as it looks like some of your more recent orders fall out of the claimed 20k chips. If so, when will their devices be ready by? Have you ordered more than 20k chips? What are you doing about bulk assemblies?
