With that being said, newbies will not be accepted into the AirDrop. It invites way, way, way too much risk to the project due to abuse. Its sad, but such is the world we live in. Even with our existing guidelines we've got people doing what they can to abuse and circumvent. I'm sorry to break the news :/

Sorry @minodow you registered on the 23rd of September 2017. DeepOnion airdrop participants must have been registered on or before the 1st of September.

However you can still join deeponion.org and participate in the community where there are bounties and tasks with rewards which anyone can try
plus competitions and is also a really friendly place to socialize and has loads of interesting content and videos too.

Not with a Sept 23rd registration, he wont. At least, not at this stage. Do the requirements get loosened as we move forward? Possible. It happened once. That said, I stand by my point. There will not be newbies allowed into the AirDrop.

Backup your wallet.dat file, and your private keys FIRST - Put them somewhere safe. Then, In my case all that I did was I download the new version, overwrote the existing .exe and launched. It was as simple as that.

Your weight will grow over time, based on your wallet balance/how many coins per block/Number of transactions (resetting of weight). The avg is 10% annually, though due to uncontrollable variables, this might be +/- 2%

By the private keys do you mean just the password I chose? or is it like in bitcoin wallets where they give you 10 random words? because i don't remember if I got any of those.

When a user does a backup, I think the private key is already in the backup, right?
