As of right now, the bitcoin price is expected to keep going up in the next 20 years. But can it last that long? I believe it's possible. But can't it crash at a random time? Like the price going down hard.
As much as you'd love to see bitcoin to rise, you should also be prepared of that downward growth of it. You can't expect it to just rise for the next years. It would fluctuate.. and there's so many things that could happen in that 20 years. Do not hope so much on the expectations, one should be ready for the unexpected events. There is no such prediction when this bitcoin last because people have found their comfort zone because of bitcoin. That is truly amazing how bitcoin changes the life of people in the society. We cannot even say if when will we end our life. Therefore it's just a matter of time and perseverance if are really engaged in this world of cryptocurrency. It may sound awkward from others who are not willing to invest in bitcoin but who cares let's not force them to believe in the goodness of bitcoin. |

Well, it's really hard to speculate when, how and what will make BTC disappear. But the main point is that, as long as people are buying and using BTC as their main crypto currency, there's no reason for it to disappear. Just look on the demand, for how many years BTC has been the top among all the crypto currency. This is the point, people think that another crypto can overcome bitcoin but they are mistaken, other cryptos are trying to climb the bitcoin mountain not realizing that bitcoin did not escalate the mountain bitcoin created the mountain, satoshi created a completely new market worth more than 100 billion out of nothing. |

Bitcoin will only end if theres no more electricity to power up things that are connected to bitcoin, isnt it? So my answer will only be bitcoin will live forever, and as years will past bitcoin will be upgraded like bitcoin 2.0 |

Bitcoin will only end if theres no more electricity to power up things that are connected to bitcoin, isnt it? So my answer will only be bitcoin will live forever, and as years will past bitcoin will be upgraded like bitcoin 2.0 Not forever, Bitcoin will died if in one day it have some problem in the system blockchain of Bitcoin and can't running as the hope of user on the world's. Every things is possible happening, and Bitcoin not exception too |

It is sure that bitcoin is going to last at least 50-60 years from now. It's price is something that we can not be so sure about. But if we look at the predictions then there is brught future for bitcoin.

Yes, we should be ready for black swan events. However, based on the current trajectory and limited supply, it seems like a good bet that Bitcoin will continue to rise over the next few decades. Best to tuck away a few coins just in case. |

It is sure that bitcoin is going to last at least 50-60 years from now. It's price is something that we can not be so sure about. But if we look at the predictions then there is brught future for bitcoin.
The price is a big factor to consider the longevity of its existence, I mean we should at least count the inflation rate for that kind of tims frame if we are not sure that Bitcoin would at least grow gradually then we know Bitcoin's demand is getting lower while thw supply os getting higher. If in the next 10 years Bitcoin's price would still be in the 3000$ level then we all know that its demand is not growing anymore and we should start selling our shares before it is too late. |

Bitcoin will still last for a long time, as long there are people who use bitcoin to earn money. Even i, as long bitcoin has a value even it is very short i will still support bitcoin because bitcoin helps me to keep my wealth. But if bitcoin has been shutdown by the government it is very possible that all of our bitcoin will be useless. |

But what will happen when all the Bitcoins will be mined? Miners change their focus to mining for transaction fees How the transactions are going to confirm? Miners will keep doing their job nothing changes and the how bitcoin cycle continues I think that will be the time when Bitcoin is about to die or maybe we find some alternatives for this thing?
After all 21 million coins are mined value will probably be high enough to keep miners mining for TX. |

Bitcoin would exist until people are ready to buy it and demand remains in the market.We could see day by day,demand for bitcoin increases and bitcoin price following it.We have seen obituary of bitcoin through out the internet many times,but every time bitcoin performed very well.Even now,recently during BU and BCC issues also,bitcoin still remains in the first place unbeatable.So,bitcoin may exist for long time.

Bitcoin price can rise and fall with great uncertainty. No one can really say for sure if the price would continue to rise or fall. It depends on the supply of Bitcoin and demand for it. Bitcoin is a deflationary currency, because of it halving. Every 4 years ... I think, block reward halves and supply decreases. So a decrease is supply often invokes an increase in price. Plus with the mainstream media attention Bitcoin should thrive in demand. Thus we have a situation where the price would rise, but if the demand was to fall all of a sudden, then yes, Bitcoin can become worthless. It is a fact that bitcoin price make movement on any matters and any uncertainty. But we should also consider the movement of bitcoin as a part of its development. It is a huge factor for bitcoin growth and progress in terms of its price, value and security so it is quite sure that bitcoin can last a long time. Just make sure to continue our support and to support the system if Bitcoin using it as a form of transaction on a daily basis. Imagine a well develop bitcoin in the future if we are going to continue our support for it to acquire development. |

How long will bitcoin last is an interesting question. The answer is definitely not forever,maybe like 10-30 years from now I believe. Also we can experience sudden crashes like from 3000$ to boom 1000$ In a week or maybe even worse scenarios. But it can recover later maybe it cannot,you never know. |

I do not think there is a profound answer to this question.
People could lose interest in bitcoin, that would lead to a price decrease.
Bitcoin could be superseded by a rival.
Or declared illegal by authorites.
When something like that would happen, nobody can say
And even if such a scenario occured, it would remove bitcoin completely. Only decrease the bitcoin community and the bitcoin price.

Not exactly what we think about how long that bitcoin will last from his existence. As long as the people have used it, still it will be a part of life. For me, the only thing that may change the popularity of this kind is that no one will care for its value. Maybe someday bitcoin will gone because of another currencies will exist, is just a matter of changing lifestyle. |

The market value of Bitcoin can crash at any time depending on what the investors want to happen. It would require a conscious effort from basically everyone invested in Bitcoin to crash the price, meaning everyone stops buying and people keep selling. That's the only way that they would be able to crash the value, and that's nearly impossible outside of variables influencing everyone to sell instead of hold or buy. As for Bitcoin staying alive for such a long period of time, it is possible if the community wants to stay with Bitcoin for that long, and so far it looks like the community is going to keep supporting Bitcoin. The movement in terms of the price of Bitcoin is quite normal to happens having a system of stock and exchange. And we should always consider that the pump and dump that happens to Bitcoin is also a part of bitcoin development for it to have growth and progress on its price and stock through the market. |
