I don't think bitcoin will survive after a hundred years because time flows and new things will come and old things will go i don't think that bitcoin will remain that much longer because it is really unstable and not a lot of people know about it.

I suspect that those kind of ventures ensure that bitcoin will outlive us.

Yes i do think that it will survive and i also think that it will be one of the biggest and people will put a lot of money it and i think we can safely say that after 100 years everyone will know about bitcoin because that is long enough for that to happen.

It is possible for bitcoin to survive after a 100 years because bitcoin right now is in it's prime time because the value goes up and down and that is what we need to make ourselfs some money. If you invest the right time you will make money.

I guess Bitcoin will not survive as technologies are changing so rapidly. You guys still remember 17 years being happy having a computer with 1000MH which costs 3000 USD. See what you get now for 3000 USD

There might be however similar technologies as bitcoin coming up in the next 50 year or so.

Bitcoin will probably not survive it after 100 years because then maybe something else will get in the place of bitcoin.
But ofcourse bitcoin can survive if we offer ourselfs up to bitcoin and invest in it a lot.

I think that it's going to take at least another 30 years before the entire world integrates BTC, or crypto as the main form of money. Given that it's the most secure form of keeping money right now, it's unlikely that we will find another method. But technology is innovating faster than it as ever in human history, and we are already researching a cure for aging and genetically changing genes in babies. I think anything is possible, but right now, BTC and crypto.

Technology innovates so it would be no surprise if something far superior takes over within 100 years

In 2009, I thought bitcoin won't survive a year and I ignored it. Then in 2011, I bumped into it again only to see it has survived and then increase in value and then I said to myself it is just a wannabe trying to trap people in. Gosh! I was so ignorant then. However, my point is bitcoin is here now after about 8 years and is growing stronger daily, 100 years, though it seems small but I actually foresee it surviving till then and possibly it is already being used globally as preferred currency. Our kids will definitely be the ones enjoying the fruit of our labour now by then.

Actually this question is little bit confusing. We don’t know actually what would be happen in future. And we cannot alive hundred of years. We all know Bitcoin is the most popular currency, it is stable but it has no external existence like dollars. So it should be gone and or not.

Its de-centralised and not controlled by any government thereby money laundering is benefited. However extended applications into sectors like banking, housing, payment cards etc. will require competitive transaction processing speed and low transaction fees. On both these fronts bitcoin has a lot to do. There already exist competitors superior to bitcoin on these parameters. 100 years is quite a long-time for bitcoin to improve its weaknesses.

I am asking this just to see the different opinions of Bitcoin community about its long term potential

I know Bitcoin is actually strong enough and stable as well

But what do you think about it after 100 years ?
Why not? It is possible. After all,  people are getting too fascinated with technologies. So it isn't impossible for bitcoin to survive after 100 years as long as there are people who keeps using it. And seeing its potential, it cam be a great asset.
For how technology getting more popular and being indemand and most of the company are using the high technology bitcoin will survive because just like what we thought about it and just like we cant even know that there is a such currency that can be made like this in the more coming years who knows what it can be but as long as its exist now and some people adopt bitcoin i think also that it will survive.

Bitcoin will not survive for the following 100 years i think because certainly people will eventually get tired of all these cyrptocurrencies and you don't know what could happen if these currencies get banned or regularized by governments thus making people paying taxes for holding cryptos so probably bitcoin and other cryptos will end  up crashing and disappearing .

I can’t guarantee even no one can guarantee   any crypto currency that will survive for long years. It can survive 100 years or can be down in 2 days . its value  fluctuated every time.  Now bitcoin is leading the world but it is not sure that it would be continue same .

I dont think so If bitcoin can survive one hundred (100) years from now, my answer will be yes. Bitcoin can definitely survive one hundred years from now even longer. Im also expecting at the same time predicting that the people in the future will become more adapted into using bitcoins or other crypto currencies. Currently we are living inti the future of the past where people before also imagined the life and technology that we are using today.

I don't know and I'm not sure if bitcoin will survive after 100 years. If bitcoin still have support in many people I think it can help bitcoin to survive.
