I do not know, maybe we died at that time too. but, measuring it from the moment, I think the bitcoin will still be used. if bitcoin can survive until then, and has the highest price, it may be that bitcoin development at that time has been very good. the government has received bitcoin, and everyone uses bitcoin. it will be a very interesting year

Bitcoin has serious problems right now, while bitcoin cash developers said that over the next six months they will officially claim the "bitcoin" brand. If the original bitcoin does not quickly and timely eliminate its shortcomings and vulnerabilities, in the near future even its clones will be able to bypass it in popularity and how it will end is difficult to predict.

Well, I think it will survive even in 100 years or more than that as long as this community is active and everyone is participating. This community is the reason why bitcoin is becoming more stronger, bitcoin is nothing without the community. The community in bitcoin is becoming larger and if their price will not going down that is another good reason for bitcoin to survive for so many years.

There will be many new ones over the next 100 years, and there will be old ones that will be developed if the foundation is good and replaced if it can not be improved or developed. That is the objective rule.

I am asking this just to see the different opinions of Bitcoin community about its long term potential
I know Bitcoin is actually strong enough and stable as well
But what do you think about it after 100 years ?
I think bitcoin will still survive after 100 years but it will not be as powerful as today. In the future, i think there will be new cryptocurrencies that will rise that are a lot better than bitcoin. If that happens, most of the people will prefer using a new and better cryptocurrency because it will benefit them the most.

I'm not sure about that. 100 year is not a short time and not necessarily my age can exceed 100 year. If it's 10 year maybe bitcoin will survive, but for 100 year i don't know. Only my great-grandchildren can figure it out later.

As of today bitcoin is getting more powerfull, but are not sure about 100 years because there are so many possibilities that could happen we don't know if bitcoin will stay as bitcoin or maybe it will improve or maybe it will replace. But as of now, sky is the limit for the bitcoin industry.

Aren't you kidding, my friend? 100 years later, we don't exist. Who cares what happened after so many years?. I think bitcoin will become the world's currency in one hundred years!

Yes, ofcourse bitcoin will survive even after hundred years but the value of bitcoins will be too high and it will be difficult for anyone to afford to buy even one single bitcoin in the next century. May be after 100 years the standard of living will be high and more advanced technology will be in existence and bitcoin will be considered as the world or global currency and this bitcoin network will be accepted by all the countries which makes it easier to travel all over the world with one single currency.

Yes I think Bitcoin will survive 100 years later. From now on, 100 years will be better, and Bitcoin will become legal in all the countries. Now people can easily earn Bitcoins.

Its too long to predict but i think if ever btc survived at that time its already known to many and legalize by all countries as one of our legal currency. But one thing is for sure after 100 years and that is we are not existing anymore and cant witness the progress of bitcoin at that time.

I think so. But I think bitcoins wouldn't be king after 100 years. There are countless more better alt coins coming in a few years and believe me, some of them will definitely try to steal the spotlight out of bitcoins. That would be pretty exciting.

Bitcoin will not disappear, Bitcoin futures have to be introduced, and development will be better and better. After all, at any time there is a need for Bitcoin to pay for the existence of people, it is eternal.

But one thing is for sure after 100 years and that is we are not existing anymore and cant witness the progress of bitcoin at that time. agree, but do consider that if we keep the same rate of advancement in block chain technology, bitcoin would hopefully be obsolete. just like we no longer use abacuses, or drive model ts, bitcoin still being "a thing" 100 years later seems absurd. even if we kept updating the protocol during this whole time, surely a government issued coin, even a relatively small government, would have a higher price and more volume, given the rate of involuntary adoption. bitcoin will be replaced as a market leader relatively quickly. but that doesnt mean it will be dead, that just means it will be a top 10, most like a top 3. and this is natural and healthy. dont fight it. bitcoin will be a collectors item one day, trust me. and an expensive one to boot.

Honestly we don't know what will be happen after 100 years.. and maybe i will be die early first before experience bitcoin after 100 years.. The best for now to enjoy what is bitcoin and thank to god that bitcoin still alive.. For me my own speculation bitcoin will be live for a long time and i think forever bitcoin will be alive forever .. this is just my own speculation and possible bitcoin can be short to live because bitcoin price is not stable and anytime soon there are some a group of hackers can be down the big exchanges that can sell bitcoin once they hack the big exchange site.. Or bitcoin will be die if there are hackers can be crack or bruteforce the private keys of every bitcoin address.. 100 years seem too long to prediict yet, but I think one thing is for sure whether bitcoin still exist during that time or not, that bitcoin has been part of the crytocurrency history and it made a huge impact to the lives of different people from all over the world. It made a mark of success to each individaul who believes in it and work hard to earn it.

Definitely! BItcoin will survive even many centuries will past with the technology that we have but what I think of is bitcoin will be managed by government in the future- well we will never know what will happen 100years from now. Bitcoin is the name of game as of the moment since there's a lot of opportunities that you can get to earn money.
I agree that bitcoin will survive, because now more and more people are using bitcoin. There also more people investing in bitcoin so it will not so easily fall to zero dollar. I think also that the government will try to control bitcoin, because many people aren't paying any taxes. You're right, Bitcoin will always exist, but the government will try to control it
