100 years is a very long time. With global warming and nuclear war threat I think there is a possibility that Bitcoin or actually the world as we know it may not exist.

Yes. I think that bitcoin will survive after 100 years. Our generation may be gone during that time, but our future generation will continue the bitcoin. As long as there is an internet connection, bitcoin will live.

I am asking this just to see the different opinions of Bitcoin community about its long term potential

I know Bitcoin is actually strong enough and stable as well

But what do you think about it after 100 years ?

I think it's far more likely than Bitcoin will survive 100 years than anyone of us on this forum  Grin

truly it is hard to consider such quite a while yet at the same time we can expect that it will even cross 100 years old once it will end up being a typical cash. I figure it will simply turn into a typical money for every one of the general population of the world and will be use with respect to a long prolonged stretch of time, in light of the fact that the new age is additionally now giving more inclination to web based shopping and business. thusly we can expect that bitcoin will be a decent medium for them.

I concur, I dont feel that they will boycott it.

At any rate the huge issue will happen in the event that they will boycott mining, in spite of the fact that it is exceptionally hard to influence mining to vanish from their nation for all time, it is as yet feasible for them to influence the Hash To rate fundamentally diminish which may influence the system contrarily

Bitcoin will survive for 100 years, unless if there is no one can hack the site. No one can say if bitcoin will last for 100 years. For now, just be thankful on bitcoin, even if i just started here

I think Bitcoin will survive in 100 years to come.  Based on history, money had existed in many forms before fiat. Now, blockchain is taking over and a better future with this is imminent. However, if eventually Bitcoin could not survive in 100 years to come, then a new monetary system will come into existence and replace the money system of the time.

Of course it will, its digital after all, anything that is in the internet can't be erased after all, though I'm not quite sure if the value of Bitcoin remains the same or if its the number one crypocurrency.

Nothing is certain when it comes to the future, especially if we are talking about what the world would be like a century from now.But i think bitcoin will stay for a longer time because until now, there is still many people is interesting with bitcoin and we can see the trend is up and down but for the price, i think it will increase soon  Smiley

Bitcoin only lives because of us. It needs us.  In simple terms, when we're still alive, bitcoin keeps on goin. But there are  claims for bitcoin to not last a 100 because they are made to be that way. Surely if all of us now trade and are using cryptocurrencies, mining will be very hard soon enough.

I do not think bitcoin will survive 100 years but I think it will last a long time and it will be associated with human life. Bitcoins have many benefits and many people already know it.

In my opinion, future bitcoin will keep ruling till the day ends.

It will rise up above higher and higher as time goes on, there's no such ways that bitcoin could turn into zero.

Developers, the ones that I'm fanning of, wouldn't let it be dragged down.

It is totally unpredictable because as it is new Virtual Currency and not totally legalized in whole world
It will exist but depends on the safety and security compliance of government.
