Haasonline Simple Trade Bot For BTCe and Bitstamp[Main topic]

Cryptsy is just Crapsy, they just cant get their act together. Buy and Sell orders dont go through or disappear ect.

We need an alternative to Cryptsy, maybe mintpal if they have an ok api , what other exchange with lots of coins has good volume?

Honestly I think mintpal is the best option. They have some of the highest volumes for the most active coins. I think they have a API that is currently in beta, hopefully it get released soon.

My bot sometimes seems to stop tracking data from Cryptsy. The prices it was trying to use were hours old. Also what happens when the bots order gets burried by other orders. Does it cancel the order and reevaluate or does it just sit there hoping the price returns.

currently, this is the most frustrated problem I have on this application.
the only solution I can have now, is go to the Cryptsy webpage and cancel them manually...

Damn. Also have you had any issues with trade amounts. I am always getting issues and the bot gets stuck. I tried all three settings and i get an invalid trade amount all the time. I also for somereason get "Reading fee percentage has failed, falling back to 10%.". This might be the cause as adding a 10% fee would throw off everything, when the real fee is like .15%.

Same for me. it happen on me occasionally also, and the disappear by itself.
Now I use percentage of amount,  100% for bought side and 10% for sold side, it seem ok now in the past a few days.

Got the same error message here. Very unpleasant, it caught me totally off guard. All trading blocked, sell signals of the indicators/safeties didn't work. Missed a perfect opportunity to sell my coins Could have lost big MONEY when Bitcoin went down. Luckily the price veered up again.

Although I check your site regularly for new updates, I can't do this 24/7. Send us an email that we need to update ''as soon as possible otherwise trading will be blocked".

Please don't repeat this when you launch the big update. Blocking the bots could have serious consequences for us all!

Is it possible to let Haasbot directly read Cryptsy price from its exchange webpage instead of API port?
I mean, to catch the price after string "Market Trade History (Last 200)…" on page https://www.cryptsy.com/markets/view/***
Because the price in webpage is real-time info without delay, and it can be read without login.

If the webpage reading speed is an obstacle to do that, then what about let all client bots randomly read one of the 200 coin exchange pages in every one minute ,and then upload the info into server (just like a distributed computation), and then let server pass back combined all 200 coins price info to every bot.

It is just an idea, for you reference.

Also, I only trade Bitcoin on Bitstamp and was wondering what would be the best version for me? I'm interested in all the features that prevent losses. Are most people using the advanced license or one of the lower levels?

Yes the bot works well with bitstamp. The bitstamp did have some issues in the past but overall not very many compared to cryptsy. With the beginner licence you get the simple stop loss features and with the other ones you get "dynamtic drop loss" which is a stop loss that re-adjusts automaticly as the price goes up or down. Hope that answered your questions.

I downloaded the installer file and I'm trying to get it installed on my Windows 7 Pro 64-bit system. When I extract the files and run the launcher I get a window saying I need to update to the newer version. When I say Update Now it downloads an update.zip file but then I receive this error:

Those errors I get are when I doubleclick htslauncher.exe.

Like I mentioned earlier when I double click on htslauncher.exe I get a window that comes up saying I need to update to the latest version. If I click on Update Now I get the first error I mentioned. If I click on Update Later I get the second error I mentioned and Windows forces the program to close.

I've made sure I have .NET Framework 4.0 installed. Is there an installation guide somewhere with prereqs and steps to get the bot working?

Also not sure if this helps but I have extracted the files to a folder on the desktop. I am trying to run htslauncher.exe from within that folder on the desktop.

I ended up figuring it out. I had to update to the .NET Framework 4.5 version. It would be nice I'm sure for other potential users if this information was clearly documented somewhere.

I wonder if you can help me, I'm fairly new to the bot and I'm just playing around with low value trades at the moment. I've got a problem at the moment whereby I've setup a very basic bot with 1 trade indicator,   no safeties or insurances. The bot is activated, my bot can see by BTC balance in Crypty, the trade signal current says "Buy" but my bot signal still says "Stay" - what could be causing this? It's driving me crazy!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've got a problem at the moment whereby I've setup a very basic bot with 1 trade indicator,   no safeties or insurances. The bot is activated, my bot can see by BTC balance in Crypty, the trade signal current says "Buy" but my bot signal still says "Stay" - what could be causing this? It's driving me crazy!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can you tell us what indicator? How long does it stay in the "stay" position?
