I'm going to share my experience with this bot. I bought the simple trade bot many months ago and that bot was great. I even took the plunge and upgraded to the trade server as soon as I could. This was the worst mistake I can make. The trade server is just terrible. Since it's release I have tried to use it after each update. Each time I am disappointed. At first I was disappointed because the trade server had many less features than the simple trade bot. Now I'm disappointed because the bot just doesn't work as it should. I am going to show the trade log from last night:

According to the trade server 26 trades were executed. You'll notice that the first order is a buy even though I started the bot in the bought position meaning it should have sold first but what ever.

You will notice that the bot doesn't even check to see if they're open orders before it performs its next buy. I am even left with 2 open sell orders of 2500 DOGE meaning I have 5000 more DOGE than when I started. This is completely unacceptable. Sure it's my fault for letting the bot run overnight and not watching it, but I expect it to at least work better than the previous version which the trade server does not.

I'm considering buying the simple bot, how well does this work with cryptsy leaving it on 24/7. I'm seeing alot of different results that it doesn't work as it should?

Hi Stephan, thanks for the update.

Would it be possible to get a one line display somewhere showing "Minimum sell price is <$xxx> based on <insurance yyy>" and "Maximum buy price is <$xxx> based on <insurance yyy>".

Thanks

I am not sure if i can add that inside the interface itself. The insurances are only checked if the trade indicators are giving off a trade signal. So its near impossible to show there data inside the interface.

At the current moment the debug log shows the line you are searching for, but i will have a look if i can make/add a logbook to the insurance itself too. This can give some additional insight in what has happened during the trading/backtest/tuning. (i welcome any suggestions for a better insight)

Something else.... i am getting some questions about the hardware upgrade of the Haasonline main webserver. This changes will NOT impact the software or how it works. The primairy reason for the upgrade is only to serve your HTS at the start with more historical prices. At the moment we are limited to 26-27hours of data, but i am trying to expand this to 2 weeks of even 4 weeks while the system resources stays the same. This is something that will become visible at the next update because i will already double the 26-27hours. This will be step 1, step 2 is to get the 2 or 4 weeks of data inside.

As a small reminder: the role of the Haasonline main webserver is only to verify the licenses and to give out prices at the start so trading can start directly. Everything else is (and will remain) at your computer.

Stephan, would it be possible to add the ability to clone a tradebot? I spend a tremendous amount of time setting up multiple bots with the same currency pairs to compare alternate indicator results. This would be a huge timesaver for me, particularly when working with cryptsy as there are so many different currency pairs. Even if it only cloned the currency pairs/indicators and not the indicator settings it would still be a huge help.

Thanks, and keep up the good work!

Edit:

Another thing that I'd love to see is some way to commit amassed market data to local non-volatile storage. My testing data becomes better and better the longer I have the program running, this is particularly true in the case of some small market alt coins, but eventually the program crashes...usually after 20hrs or so. Usually when it crashes it points to dot.net framework issues, though once I saw a message about limited storage(I have 64Gb of ram and only 12 were used at the time). The crashes themselves aren't a huge problem, but it takes several hours of re-collecting market data before I can again work on backtesting some currency pairs. It'd be fantastic if I could create periodic save points for this data and not have to start recollecting it from scratch after each shutdown.

Edit2:

Here's a new and different issue. I got this message when creating a new bot was blocked:

"Something went wrong. Exception message: Could not validate license. Please check your internet connection and restart the software when the problem is resolved."

I'd already had it running for a few hours, so apparently the program is checking license validity multiple times during each session. This wouldn't be a problem if it did so accurately. Now I either have to shut the program down and lose the data I've collected or not create any more bots.

This one fixed itself after 20mins or so. Wink

-------------------------------------------------------------
I think i have got something pretty interesting to tell.

In the past some users asked me if they could build there own software (or logic) based on the Simple Trade Bot. This was not possible, however for the 3th generation it will be possible. As a default feature we have made an open API. You as a user will be able to pick up this API and build your things on it, if you want of course because it is a extra "invisible" option.

With the API you could build your own trade bot or some other cool things. I am very sure a lot of people from this forum will have a look and will play around with it. The API itself is well documented and there will be running examples. It can be attached to almost* any programming language.

* ) I still can not figure out a programming language incapable to attaching. But i am sure there must be one. Cheesy

The API will have 1 initial limit. It will NOT be possible to build your own indicator... yet. This is something we really like to make possible, but it has to be discussed first. So as soon as the software is available and there are people looking at this, please submit your suggestions. Because by doing this we can implement it (and other thing you may require)

-------------------------------------------------------------

My life will be complete when you release the API  Cheesy Excellent work, having a centralized API to work with multiple exchanges has been a dream of mine for quite some time.  It will prove to be an invaluable contribution to the community.  When this is released, I will test my code and present you my findings and feedback. After which, I will likely purchase an advanced license!

That's what the safeties are for.

@stephan

Is there some way to force the program to produce a backup of the file Tradebots.XML? This file can represent many hours/days of work and it's loss would be unpleasant. I've added or altered several bots during my current session, but the program has not saved a copy to hd since this am.

Nevermind, found it on the classic interface.

Few things.

Would be really great if the action of the Safeties could be colour coded in the Trade Log.

Also, are some of the percentage based indicators back to front?  Anybody found this?  I can investigate further and report back maybe.

My charts for safeties are not working.  Maybe this is known issue?

I have BTCe problems with HTS.
Last 4 trades are not really made on BTCe, while HTS thinks they are made.
* not simulated
* statistics were cleared last night
* trade amount is in range of the wallet
* bot activated
* log shows me 4 trades(with some loss) while BTCe clearly shows no change in my wallets.

Had the same with Cryptsy, was hoping HTS worked with BTCe on a high volume pair.
Why do i have nothing but troubles with HTS?

Thanks for that, and what if I wanted to get stopped in to a position.
Example. market is at 620 and the resistance is on the upside so I would like to get stopped in at say 645 to enter position and catch the breakout. If I enter the BUY stop for 645  I dont want it filled at the 620.

dddbtc is living out his dream by now i think. Smiley

That is a real good idea, i will have a look if i can color the log-book messages itself.

I will have a look too at the safeties charts.

Had the same with Cryptsy, was hoping HTS worked with BTCe on a high volume pair.
Why do i have nothing but troubles with HTS?

I think this has a little to do with bad luck at the moment. But if you want i can get you inside the beta test of the new update. It should get stability to 100%, but i also need to say this will be a high risk beta test. Real-time order monitoring during the test is required. (or short trade runs and evaluate later)

BTW I hope to make the beta available tomorrow eve.

Thanks for that, and what if I wanted to get stopped in to a position.
Example. market is at 620 and the resistance is on the upside so I would like to get stopped in at say 645 to enter position and catch the breakout. If I enter the BUY stop for 645  I dont want it filled at the 620.

You can use the AvoidBuySellWall Insurance to make that work. It will look into the orderbook of the exchange and if there is a huge order near the price you want to buy or sell then the insurance will block the trade. So the insurance will wait until the wall is broken (which can take long). After this, in the break-out the insurance will allow the trade. (but ONLY in the break-out, if the next wall it hit the waiting for the break-out will continue again)

BTW The price tolerance scope is: -0.0001% to +0.0001%

------------------------

The main webserver is now updated. Cex.IO is added to the cache server and both Doge and Moon of Cryptsy are also added. The last ones will become pre-tracked/cached available at the next update of HTS itself. (so please do NOT restart you software to try, it will not work)

Hello,

Would this bot be suitable for selling/trading multiple coins?
E.g. mining on a multipool and using STB to sell and trade with the coins that gets auto deposited?

@Nolii

I believe it's possible, but some of the low price/volume coins are incredibly volatile and there's seldom much liquidity for the bots to work with.

@Stephan

I'd be interested in again helping to iron out some kinks in your new beta, just lmk when it's ready to go.

I do realize this, I suppose my real question is if the bot will be able to "handle" rapid incoming deposits and, if not trade, to at least sell them at a better price than e.g. Cryptsy's auto-sell feature or various multipools.

I think this has a little to do with bad luck at the moment. But if you want i can get you inside the beta test of the new update. It should get stability to 100%, but i also need to say this will be a high risk beta test. Real-time order monitoring during the test is required. (or short trade runs and evaluate later)

BTW I hope to make the beta available tomorrow eve.

i am interested, also in an quote/code for an upgrade from HTS simple to advanced.
* please dont forget to also fix the simulation time, so that we can see the simulated time of the simulated trade, not the actual time.

not possible with the as-is bot, because it depends on a sell AND buy state. But you can use the html-api to check your cryptsy wallet,actual market price and place a manual order. (warning: you cant cancel an order yet)

@Nolli

Don't waste your money on this bot.  It hasn't worked since I purchased it. It hasn't worked since others upgraded to it.

The developer claims it is the best thing and all these "quiet people" are happily using his broken software.

I think they all gave up and moved on to other things after being scammed by this guy.

I am hopeful that we may one day get the software we were promised and not some alpha test nonsense that just loses money.
