I don't know why people say bitcoin is gambling. Its not gambling. You are investing your money and time. You use your internet. So its not gambling dealing with it.
Yeah right, bitcoin is not gambling and why many people say that because they are scammed by other people and they also make bitcoin is a bad for many people.. That's not true, it is proven by many things that this is not gambling. |

I agree that bitcoin is not gambling. But there are gambling that involves bitcoin. And I recommend you not to try it because you may lose a lot of money. It will be better if you are just going to hold your bitcoins.

Yes,really bitcoin is not gambling.bitcoin is decentralized currency,some people can make transactions for smuggling drugs,terrorists and thieves.but bitcoin is not bad,it is good asset and currency.

According to me bitcoin is not gambling. You invest your money and it may either lead to a positive or negative result, this happens in all stock markets the only difference is that the ups and downs in btc are by a big margin thus people like to refer it as gambling which is not at all true.

of COURSE bitcoin is gambling. It can go up, it can go down. You make your choice and bet on it. Seriously folks this place looks like one of those cults where everyone is going to end up drinking poison Kool Aid. The stock market is gambling. Getting out of bed is gambling. Clearly everyone thinks it will continue to go up, myself included, but just call it what it is. Who knows that the whales at the CME want to do with it? They could jump in with their hundreds of billions and short it down to $100 if they wanted to. It's gambling.

So Forex trading of international currencies isn't gambling either? People use fiat every single day and every single trade there's a buyer thinking it will go up and a seller thinking it will go down. That's gambling. Every time a bitcoin is bought, someone somewhere thinks he's getting a good price for it and sells it. Again, both people in that transaction are gambling. But every single person on here thinks there is zero risk to buying bitcoin. I'm trying to get you to understand that there is at least a possibility of it going down. To not consider that at all is foolish. Do I think it's a reasonably good bet that it will climb? Yes I sure do. But you all sound like it is 100% guaranteed to hit $1 billion per bitcoin if you hold it long enough. I think this would be a much more useful forum if at least some people could come to terms with potential risks. I'd like to start a thread about what the 'evil' CME will do to it, but I know to a man, everyone will say "GIVE US BUYING OPPORTUNITY!!! |

Very true, indeed! Bitcoin is a currency in crypto form, how come a currency can be called as gambling. One can gamble through a currency only.
People use Bitcoin for investment purposes and due to the risks involved many people, I should say in Layman language, call this investment as gambling. Which is incorrect in my viewpoint as its person own choice how to make his money grow either by investing in Bitcoin market or other markets.

And I think bitcoin can we used as a payment or medium of exchange for transactions to increase or develop the currency level of bitcoin. And should not be considered bitcoin as a gambling because they are so many people are full of confidence to invest their money on it.

Gambling is feeding your addiction with the lowest chance of gain. Bitcoining is a long term investment that opens new opportunities to the person. Only arrogant people can only fail to identify this. These type of people tends to be just jealous of what you can have or just a coward who is afraid to fly. And well prepared decision is what defines investment in cryptocurrency from a mere gambling match. |

Bitcoin is an advanced cash, and in term of speculation is wander and if you describe hypothesis as a wagering than it might be. I would pathetic that you can't suspect how the cost will move and whether on at this very moment you will free or make advantage, however every wander is related with possibility and that should be recognized. You just need to perceive what are you doing ans why are you contributing for, equivalent like on securities trade with the refinement that bitcoin is more profitable.

People who do not know about bitcoin always says that bitcoin is gambling but those people who say so has lack of knowledge about bitcoin. As we all know bitcoin is not gambling it is an investment. When you invest you must know and deal with it that there is a tendency of price increase and price decrease in investment. So, its not a gambling its all about investments.

you can use bitcoin in gambling but buying biutcoin doesnt mean gambling...
bitcoin is an investment that will have a sure profit in next couple of months or years ... no doubt about it, the chart can tell to anyone how bitcoin is profitable.

If people think Bitcoin is gambling then it is like saying FIAT is gambling. FIAT depreciate and appreciate daily, it happens everyday. I understand that when you buy bitcoin there are risks involve but everything has risks. All investment has risk whatever type of investment you invest in.
