Evil is really widespread. And in any way it can be done. Similarly, bitcoins are well used. Their way is to pay the hired killers to kill people. And for easy payment methods they use bitcoins. Because it is a money and of course it will be easy and nobody knows it. If they use banks or other ways to pay it is definitely a hassle and they can even ask for it.

bitcoin giving a choice for people to make anonymous transaction and it will wide open to used in crimes but its only depend for ourselves. how we want to do with our bitcoin and I hope that we don't get involve with something that might be illegal activity and its better to used bitcoin for good things. but I realize that maybe in out there, many people used bitcoin for crimes and they can send and receive money laundry from bitcoin especially bitcoin price is increase like now.

Bitcoin was first known in the deep web wherein those anonymous person buy illegal things using Bitcoin as their payment. That story is quite known. That is why most of us people think of Bitcoin at first sight as illegal money. They draw right away a negative conclusion about it. Bitcoin can be used as a honey trap by law enforcement agencies to catch the bad guys, if they know how to use it properly. They can even develop their own services on top of the Blockchain to catch these guys. ^smile^

But they don't start using I think. Even US had fight with Iraq and Ozama same that time also there was a non calculated amount has been transferred in Asia-Pacific region.
These kind of the rumor what always been shared by the US government but not been true and not confirmed in any decentralized transaction medium. Mixers are used by the whales only I am not sure criminal are being used this.

Bitcoin was earlier mostly adopted by dark markets due to its anonymity.Bitcoin has been always targeted by its critics for this reason.Its an old news.But now,bitcoin is widely used for different purposes.May be,you are pointing out the wannacry issue.

I think now dark markets have better choices like monero,zcash for such purposes which are pseudo anonymous.But still,we can't deny that bitcoin is used for such purposes.Since its a decentralized currency,we could not stop any person using bitcoins based on the purposes it is used for.Just like USD,bitcoins are free to use for any one,either good or bad.

Even though bitcoin transactions could be traced since all transactions are entered in a public ledger,mixing services would definitely make it difficult to trace the exact culprit.

well for drugs crime, most of them make transactions on the road using cash. Maybe the purchase using Bitcoin was done by the big boss of the drug. Because the current transaction with Bitcoin is still quite anonymous even though basically a transaction uses bitcoin everyone can figure it out. If criminals know it then they will think twice about doing a transaction with Bitcoin. it is my opinion and the police should continue to evolve to improve its performance so that Bitcoin's name is always positive.

its not new and we all know that bitcoin is being used in illegal activities before and it was first introduced in the deepweb/darknet .
i guess that is the reason why some people think that using bitcoin is bad or a scam, bitcoin has got a bad reputation to the public. but no matter what issue the bitcoin is facing, there were still people use it and accept  for what it is.

Hi OP, in my opinion I totally agree with you as this is another disadvantage of bitcoin.
But if you are going to compare the disadvantages of bitcoin to its advantages I pretty sure that advantages will surely the winner.

It is an indisputable fact that bitcoin is the easiest way to modern day criminology. Most of us have been hacked or scamed before. It is also the most comfortable way to carryout money laundry, but we can not remain in the stone age because of the disadvantages that any modern technology will bring. Yes, nowadays it’s being used in crime, they buy and sell online and pay by bitcoin. Because it’s untraceable. So police can’t get clue to caught them. I think it’s dangerous.

That's a true fact . But I do not want to blame bitcoin for that. Bitcoin can not kill people, some people are buying weapon,drugs using bitcoin. Bitcoin is untraceable but the weapon dealer or the drug dealer is traceable. So instead of trying to stop bitcoin we have to try to stop criminal activity. Because banning bitcoin would not help. Criminals will find the alternative of bitcoin.

This is not new.. Bitcoin has ALWAYS been used for crime.. But so has cash...

Blockchain has specific address allocation and wallet address are transparent so it's still traceable. The area of concern bitcoin want to address is centralization of transactions that's the reason they decentralize but as time goes and by rising of many miners with powerful servers and lack of governance it is going back to centralization. Another is security it's not hack proof but it will take a lot of computing power to hack a specific wallet address provided that the user is not so careless. With regards to being used in crimes well FIAT is still the major currency used in crimes up to now. I think cryptocurrency has a big part in the future of managing almost every transactions.

As for that, we can not blame the bitcoin and say bitcoin is used for crime. like a knife, if used to cut vegetables and meat then the knife is used properly. but if the knife is used to kill. do we blame the knife?

If they are having problems tracing with the bitcoin part then they could trace the other end.
Remember that they would still need to physically trade that item. If it is a gun or a drug it can be easily traced. If the buyer already bought and paid it but the seller got caught then those bitcoin will be lost.
There is no money back here unlike with cash where it will circulate again.
