I think it is just practical to think that if we can access bitcoin, they can also access it. With bitcoins characteristics and the ability to be untraceable, it is the perfect opportunity to use by criminals. Illegal transactions can be made without the authorities knowing it.

There has been a lot of threads pointing out how Bitcoin has this reputation of being used in criminal activities but there's no real way to solve this without sacrificing some of the privacy that Bitcoin provides, and if you're worried about criminals using Bitcoin they are already migrating to other cryptocurrencies that have even more anonymity which really doesn't solve the problem. At the same time though, FIAT money has been used and will continue to be used on criminal activities as well, that's a trait of all currencies, not just Bitcoin.
Hope that this reputation of being used in crime will end soon. Yes it is because of greedy people even they use bitcoin in illegal transaction like buying weapons, drugs, even the fake passport because they cannot trace by authority also it can hide their identity. This is the disadvantages of bitcoin like in fiat money they also use it in crime.

From the beginning of bitcoin's appearance, criminals have become interested in using bitcoin as a means of earning money. Especially now, the criminals are getting good at doing their actions that harm us by using bitcoin as a ransom fee.

this problem is not new anymore, bitcoin has been used by crminals for a long time, criminals have used bitcoin to buy illegal drugs and terrorists used bitcoin to buy illegal weapons, because of bitcoin is untraceable so governments can not put bitcoin under control, this problem is not easy to solve.

Bitcoins has regained its strong value, As of this posting, the value per 1 bitcoin is exactly 4786.59 US Dollar. Soon we will see more ways people can squeeze the most out of bitcoins. Since the advent of the internet to be profit oriented in the 90's, no one would possibly have imagined that the Internet would breed Facebook, Google, Uber, online streaming, etc. This is where we are with the Blockchain now. There exists a whole world of opportunities out there.
These opportunities have the unrighteous users of this cryptocurrencies to also used its advantage. We cannot deny for a fact that cyber crimes have been committed since the birth of the internet. Once, stealing was done with having guns, now, robbers can easily hack bank accounts or counterfeit credit cards to their advantage. Sooner, cryptocurrencies can be used to pay crimes such as services for creating counterfeit birth certificates and this is not far from happening. Actually, the US has already cases on this matter.
Another is the crime of buying illegal-drug emporium that used Bitcoin as a medium of exchange, politicians and policymakers took notice. Criminals, it turns out, really like bitcoins, which can be exchanged for nefarious purposes on the "Dark Web," with complete anonymity and, it seems, impunity.
Although, there are some articles that i have read regarding criminals cannot hide behind bitcoins, still, there are difficulties tracing transactions using cryptocurrencies. That is why law enforcement agencies should have a to change their procedures to pursue criminals who make use of the latest technology to commit crimes. Let the law find a way to evolve to address new tech challenges. There is no reason to expect that law enforcement won’t be able to get a handle on this new cybercrime.
I have also red that thing in about a year ago before I knew about this forum thaf there are a digital currency which is bitcoins that are used to buy all the illegal thing in the world because of them being a decentralized currency the government cannot track those transactions that are happening and they can never know that there will be any transactions not unless someone told them to. But yes bitcoins is used by crime like that but it is a long time ago.

When bitcoin was born, bitcoin became a tool for crimes, they used bitcoin as a method of payment for transactions, police could not catch them because the police had no clue about the Criminals transaction because they buy and sell online with bitcoin, it's untraceable . This is really an advantage for criminals

That is really not fair to make general commentary like that. Because anything that has value can be used for crimes. You have people who steal corporate bonds or physical gold bars or silver as a way to pay for crimes or ransoms. Also if you want to get really technical people can say they trade prescription drugs for other things or to convince people to do illegal things. So yes bitcoin will be used by criminals no doubt about that no denying it but so is everything else in life.

Bitcoin as any other currency can be used to pay " For Crimes " there's people who do money laundry and bitcoins facilitates the way of moving the money towards city's and or customers. Remember the old silkroad plenity of scammers and criminals are all over the internet, so expect not only BTC but any currency to be involved in crimes.

Bitcoins were always used in crimes, just as fiat is, basically if it has a value - it can be used in crimes.

Whenever any currency becomes popular, its value increases. Criminal starts using it. Gold is used extensively in smuggling. USD a world currency is also used in drug trafficking ,arms dealing etc. Bitcoin a digital decentralised currency has become popular, it has crossed $10000 mark in just eight years. Bitcoin has unique features, its decentralised nature, peer to peer exchange and autonomous nature making it more flexible, it is difficult to trace its user. As a result criminals started using it on large scale. Ransomware attackers asked ransom money only in bitcoin currency. Australia banned bitcoin to prevent its in drug trafficking and terror funding.

Yes, nowadays it’s being used in crime, they buy and sell online and pay by bitcoin. Because it’s untraceable. So police can’t get clue to caught them. I think it’s dangerous.
For me its no. Because everyone can avoid crimes but it depends other how they work for life.sometimes more people not contented in life so they commit crimes. They used other people, slay people to become rich. Its up to you how you avoid it.

Like most other technologies bitcoin will also be used in crimes. Whether it's untraceable, I don't think so, there's a clear trace of where the coins are flowing. This doesn't mean that bitcoin should be banned and shunned as an accepted form of currency. Physical assets you purchase with cryptocurrency would eventually have to reach their payees, this to where the border control have jurisdiction over. while transfer of digital assets will only carry their full trace.

This is a very sad thing, an anonymous system becomes a haven of criminals and I hope soon made the system to be able to detect whether the transaction is done for criminal action or not.

Well whatever the case, bitcoin is also a currency so there's a very big possibility that criminals will be using bitcoin in their transactions. But with or without bitcoin, it seems that nothing can stop them from their transactions because long before bitcoin existed, money laundering and illegal transactions have always been there by fiat money.
