How do we know the hp4 binaries aren't shunting blocks to mikaelh2 and that's why almost no one is getting anything?

Answer: Read the code.

If you can't read the code, you can either:

1) Not play the game

or

2) Depend on the kindness of strangers.

You are assuming the source on github matched the binaries posted on mega.

Considering then that LTC still has 15000% the market cap of XPM ...

I can only stare on https://mcxnow.com/exchange/XPM now is 0.00842358 btc - I have sold first 100XPM for 0.009 btc  Grin  Grin  Grin roling in cash in no time  Grin  Grin  - I had waiting order at this price and someone didnot even wait for price to come so high and bought it from me... if I understand correctly how the trade could happen.

Of course I am pulling my hair out of my skull, 500% xpm grow in three days it will not happen everyday..... when price was 0.0018 I lost my faith in XPM definitely instead of buying it -and now I can only blame myself and considering how many LTC I could have If I tried hard to mine XPM (and exchange it now for LTC) (sorry I trust more in LTC than XPM) ..... anyway I still dont believe it  Huh  Huh  Roll Eyes  Roll Eyes  Huh
I think the price is too high at this moment.
I think Initial price should be set up lower not on 0.001 but on 0.0001, or even less 0.000001,

Did you compile the code yourself or take the posted binaries?

I noticed that on buy side are more orders than were last week (it was some 20 btc in a total but now it is over 140 btc)
on sell side it is approx. the same 6 to 7,000 xpm
ohh some whale billionare made order on buying XPM for 0.0074 btc for 20 btc - but maybe it is someone who systematically pushes order lower in order to lower the price?

In my opinion XPM is still too high, it is like PPC - in November 16, 2012 it jumped from zero to 0.0005 and than fell down to 0.00005 in March 8, 2013 http://my-btc.info/coin_charts.php?t=all

In my opinion XPM is still too high, it is like PPC - in November 16, 2012 it jumped from zero to 0.0005 and than fell down to 0.00005

XPM has already had much more media coverage than PPC ever had...

Yes, but there is zero market for it (or any alt coin), so they should all be much much closer to zero.  The fact that XPM is nearing 1$ is complete hype.

Do I have my fact right???

Powercoin:
- 1 block per minute.....How often is difficulty retargetting?
- Reward is 999 divided by the square of the difficulty....So,

diff    reward
8   15.609375
9   12.33333333
10   9.99
...Will take some time (or forever) to ever go higher than 10.....

By comparison, Litecoin is 2.5 minute blocks with reward of 50 coins.

So, in 2.5 minutes of time, Powercoin creates (assume 9 diff) 12.3 * 2.5 = 30.75 coins  VERSUS litecoin's 50 coins per block.  Seems to me that Powercoin has a better reward scheme.  The currently high coin count is the product of a too-small difficulty...But current quantity of coins and growth rate of supply are all lower than Litecoin.

well I dont know much about http://powercoin.net/
http://www.criptovalute.it/powercoin
but is not PWC already dead, I mean more dead then SolidCoin?  Huh

but regarding Primecoin XPM?
I think problematic is when primecoin gets rare and expensive in comparison with BTC more peoiple tend to mine it so difficulty rises but than reward per block goes down what leads to even more scarcity and even bigger price and even bigger difficulty....

Price drives difficulty, not the other way around.

Are you just running around with your eyes closed and your ears plugged? "Should be" a particular price? You don't get economics, do you? If people are paying it, then it is at the right price. That is how it works.

It's obviously got at least a few tens of thousands of people comprising a market for it...that's pretty good for a week. The fact that bitcoin ever hit $10 is complete hype. I can literally do NOTHING with btc that I can't do through central banking at this point in time. See how useless your statement is?

Something must have gone wrong with my mining software I think now.

First 48 hours after launch, made about 200 coins.

I've been running the same 2 quad core CPUs for 7 days straight now, and no new coins ( -0- ). Is this even possible?

I upgraded the client to the new version. Does anyone know if anyone else has had this problem, or if there is anything else I could try? The  program is definitely running but can't get anything mined at all.
